I was thinking of adding a blog to my site.
clearly there wouldn't be anything identifying on it, just my personality.
I feel like its a way to express myself, and people would get a chance to know me.
good or bad?
limit blog to those who want to subscribe .. this way only people who are in same things as you are will be visitors ..
I do not want my blog to be found by classmates of my kids .. and kids you know smart ... and professors you know ... naughty ha ha ha
I think make blog too and write there I write here a lot and I think I need stop write here but direct everybody to my blog do it too ![]()
oh, that sounds like a good idea.I don't even know how to do that, but i'll look it up.
I made one the other day, i just didnt link it to my page yet

You could also go the route of starting a twitter account. That's another good way for people to get to know you better and it's easy.

.......i'm pretty sweet/friendly however i'm EXTREMELY blunt and sugarcoat nothing lol so I figured me NOT having a blog was a GOOD idea lol (because a lot of people in this biz are just not that thick-skinned)
.
You can achieve your objectives through a twitter account...
Shoots up a flare if you ask me.
I agree. Just one tiny piece of info linking real-A to hobby-B and the whole world collapses.
Some of these sites are really fucking intrusive. You use a computer someplace and Amazon wants to sell you something based on a cookie that isn't even yours ... or maybe it is yours. Google ads pop up based on sites you've linked to via your google search ... or maybe it was someone else who left that trail on that computer or browser. Grrrrrrrr ...
Maybe a tech expert can chime in with advice on how to protect yourself - or yourselves (real self / hobby self) from - from being connected in any way
Whoa, that sounds really scary.
And I'm not really that tech savy.
Yeah, this is definitely starting to start like a bad idea

are meant for connecting your personal life to the vast majority...when you are working with a 'stage name' and not in real time, you most certainly don't want to project to the masses.
FB, Twittwat, whatever you want to call them is no place for this world whatsoever. That's like broadcasting outloud what you do, and you don't ever want to do that, do you?
I certainly don't use social media in my personal life, stupid concept and followed by the masses, but then again, most people are followers.
Stay safe and good luck with whatever you decide that is best for you. All posts on this board are opinions, in the end the ultimate decision can only be made by what you are comfortable with.
Good luck and stay safe.

I absolutely disagree. A rennaissance of communication is occurring whereby the entire world can exchange ideas with never before experienced ease. Entire revolutions have been organized and coordinated via social media.
It is an extraordinarily powerful phenomena.
What you make of it is up to you. To say it's "stupid and for followers," is naive at best, rather narrow minded, and ignorant.
Romantic notions of individualism are best left to the juvenile who ironically tend to be conformists in that very sense.
I agree with you in that sense. Although im not big on twitter and facebook, im huge on blogging.
I love to read people's blogs because it could open your mind about certain things, and you get to hear about people from different walks of life.

social media and such. But keep in mind...for the many times I have heard there is way too much info on most women's websites in this industry...what makes you think they will read a blog in addition to that? I tried this concept months ago and got nailed for the idea, that's all. So I didn't follow through. Even with as much as I have posted on here and my 'different' train of thought.
Bottomline, yes the blogging is worth a try if she enjoys writing as much as I do...but keep in mind, most men, especially in this industry, don't have the patience nor the care to hear what anyone has to say in all honesty especially the day to day of a 'escort's life'.
If I'm wrong, so be it. I'm sure you will put me in my place.
But we can agree to disagree, that's what a board is all about. Opinions, nothing more nothing less. Take it for what it is.
I'm not taking anything the wrong way. You said this:
"I certainly don't use social media in my personal life, stupid concept and followed by the masses, but then again, most people are followers."
That's a general, blanket statement that's solely reflective of some bias you have against the medium. Too say it's a stupid concept followed by the masses is ignorantly ill informed opinion, especially considering the overall demonstrative positive impact it's had upon the world. Never before have people been able to communicate so much, so freely and easily- that is fact, not opinion.
To insinuate that mass adoption by the world of a new technology, which is a quantum leap beyond the previous paradigm, is somehow indicative of a macro character flaw of humanity is preposterous. Besides, what's wrong with followers? There's nothing wrong with followers, any good leader understands and respects them simply because without them a leader is useless. A great leader understands their power is granted by their followers. Why do you think the age old leadership mantra is, "To lead, one must follow"?
Social media is only a tool. An extremely powerful one. Like any other you make of it what you will.
As far as any blog goes... It's all in the execution. Instead of a just a static "about me," bio...incorporating short and concise updates via a blog may lend a freshness and vigor to the impression being delivered. That's just an opinion though
It actually depends what you wanna do with the social media. We cant demonize all of them.
It's an option in Explorer. Doesn't save/store any cookies, passwords, etc..
For further security go to "Internet Options," and totally clear browsing history. Make sure you select all the options, passwords, cookies, form data, etc...
Always password your windows account login, and never, ever leave your desktop open.
Simple.
It has nothing to do with social media - only if you choose to link a facebook, Linkedin or twitter account, etc to you blog. But by the same token you can link any of those to a plain website as well.
A blog is a great way to communicate with your clients, post updates, videos, pictures, games, great articles for reading, restaurant reviews, broadway shows, basically just about anything so it can be more powerful than a "vanilla website". Added bonus, Search Engines love blogs; you get higher SEO points than a plain website. Search engines check the web constantly for NEW content. If you update a blog regularly you get placed ahead of other escorts on google searches e.g.
You can also setup your blog so that people can post comments on anything you post. You can limit it so they have to signin with an email and they can sign up if they want to receive email updates. So for example when you update rates, or touring dates they get an email with your blog updates.
There's a local gal who uses a BLOG as her only website. Check out her blog and see what you think.
BTW - you can go to Wordpress.com and get yourself a FREE blog.
Good luck.

I checked out her website.
I like it but I want a formal website, and have a blog on the side.
this blog will be my mistress.
And people will have the option to read it if the WANT because it wont be my only site.
I did start one the other day, but i just dont know if i should link it to my site yet.
I only have 5 post so far
I'd post it on here now, but i dont want my post to be removed because it would be seen as "advertising"

I like the idea of a blog- especially when they're well written. The big problem (and the reason I never started one) is the upkeep. To keep having to make posts. I always check out a blog page if a woman has one. If the last post was a few months back however, I don't bother to read...
Could never hurt to try!
Kiss me,
Kate
I think it would be interesting.
