bedroom, couch, etc. You know what I mean.

Are absolutely gorgeous
Xoxo
Kyla
The rooms feature large porthole windows large enough to sit in. Even the hallways are great backdrops.
very nice, they show sean combs video nasty girl there, you tube it!

It's a gorgeous, modern hotel, and if you get the right room the views are spectacular! I'd highly suggest it.

I would add:
The Thompson "6 Columbus" at 6 Columbus Circle ... 308 West 58th Street (between 8th & 9th Avenue)
Hudson New York at 356 West 58th Street
I'm really excited for this shoot. I love her style, and she really knows how to show off tats and piercings.
Sunken bathrub with a view of the city from 55 floors up framing the window. It goes on. Perfect luxurious leather couches, enormous rooms with high ceilings. . . .etc . ..
Are you going to be working out of the room too, or just doing a photoshoot in one?
The Empire Hotel. A high floor suite overlooking Dante Park with the city lights and Broadway is spectacular. Had a "meeting" there several years back and I always remember how amazing that room was with the HUGE living room, kind sized bed, small but high end appointed bathroom and again that view... can't miss
While I agree the Dream is a good idea, only the one Downtown. The one in the 50s is tiny, even the suites
With hot cars . Just sayin , to many photographers take the same boring pics with the same boring pose with the same boring props ! Some us guys want , well watch a zz top video it two and you'll get the idea of what I'm talking about . xoxo sin. ( my statement us just in general , nothing to do with u ).
I am trying to learn photography and am looking for locations and like cool, trendy hotels. Just curious if any of these listed hotels offer like day rates or something besides full rack/overnight rates? Or do you have to just book it for overnight?
Thx all!
Hot ass on the hood of a car and get our motors running xoxo.
Hey Back in Black -
my photographer does half of my shoots on location outdoors ... I'll ask him to do a shoot with hot cars ... anyone here have a hot car to "loan" me? LOL
- Vanessa
Ride on my S600 anytime ! Got 1 with a drop top too, take your pick. xoxoxo.

And the great thing about using your drop top Mercedes S600 is you can place it in a cool surrounding ... not just a showroom ... or a parking lot with distractions and unwanted reflections in the paint.
With a drop top I can be all over the car, in and out!
Vanessa
Drop top is a sl500 ! And u would look great anywhere on or in that car , the best seat is on my lap ! We'll call those pics Beauty n the Benz ! Ur a keeper , got my engine goin .
Back In Black -
Seriously, the Benz SL500 has a nice ass for a car ... can you drive yours to a great location for a shoot and let a model climb on the polished reflective trunk and ... she Benz Over ... double ass shot LOL ... is your Benz black?
Benz SL500 trunk lids not aluminum I hope.
Anyway. You make a good point about getting more location shoots encouraged! Not just 5 star hotels ... although I love those too.
- Vanessa
Silver , and I did dent the hood on another car once . Years ago , was making out and things got , well hot and I lifted her up and we went back , and my pants went down and her dress went up and the hood ? Well , if it could talk it would say DAMN that was some ride xoxo
Back In Black -
So ... back to the thread topic from my diversion ... what NYC hotel would YOU select as a backdrop to a photo of a model posing suggestively with your silver Benz SL500?
And would you then hand keys to the valet and finish the shoot inside ... and in what venues and suite?
Does "back in black" refer to the economy ... or color of your next Benz?
- Vanessa
Atlantic City , beach , boardwalk , and suites galore ! Some casino action , a nice dinner , then the dessert of your choice . And bib , a rock album , one if my gf is a dancer and drivers me crazy when she dances to their songs xoxo.

yes, outdoor pics look fresh and not so routine, Got to the beach girls, weather is great, pics will standout out above the others.
Vanessa nailed it with her portfolio!!!!! Throw in some beach like u said and car shots and its a grand slam. Vanessa u rock xoxo.
if you can.
Standard Highline...Hudson Studio.

Thompson and Empire and Dream are all good.
I'd throw into the ring the Standard (both in Cooper Union and even more so in the Meatpacking district. Both have huge windows for great shots of the city as the backdrop (get the corner room @ E Village). The one in Chelsea has a see-through wall for the shower, which could be playful as are the showers in the Hudson.
Been a while, but Trump Soho had beautiful rooms when they opened.
anywhere outside...of course it would have to be a private place...first natural sunlight is the best lighting and will make the pictures very real....
of course there are many hotels but au natural in nature is the best!

This is a related issue but seems to fit in this thread.
When you set up a hotel suite shoot, who reserves and takes care of the room?
In some cases, the photographer gets the room and pays for it ... either an interesting venue you want or one the photographer suggests (that you approve).
I like this, as it establishes a safe, clear boundary between the photoshoot business and any other type of business. I've bounced this off my photographer who seems to be fine with it.
Vanessa
The photog should have volumes of photos to choose from. All the details should he gone over before the shoot. Also ownership if photos . If your going for different looks a make up artist is also a must. Nothing should rushed , and simple test photos should also be taken prior to the shoot. Black n white photos r a must 4 me . Just an extra added touch. And with a pro the price and packages should be inclusive . Vanessa , u do look great and a good photographer would go crazy with u. xoxo
Guys do not give a rats ass...professional pictures never look like the girl.Airbrushed and better then in person..Never got that
I Like my crappy pictures sitting on the hotel bathroom in my $600 silk robe
Go back n read her post . And Anna has great pics n it does matter to me . I like my ladies PHAT ! xoxo Katrina , who r u again ? Ha ha ha

My last shoot was at a quiet Bel Air hotel and I haven't been so relaxed in ages! Had a private balcony backing up to the hills, a wood burning fireplace, it was heaven.
I also destroy the room with clothes, accessories, shoes, and would rather have a drink and some down time after the shoot.
Anna Faire xx
Too funny, so true ... I do that too ...
and have an after shoot drink!

The provider should be her own Art Director in charge of what she wants....wardrobe, makeup, hair, lighting, style....the shots to take....all the photographer should be doing is the shooting, if you can't do it yourself...which imo, can be done. I have done all my own photography myself since day one. It's actually quite fun. I wasn't after the 'airbrushed' look as I am an all natural girl thru and thru and wanted to depict that as best I could...but that was and is 'my' style, which is clearly not for everyone.
If you're a glitzy gal...then add all the glitz you need...whatever works for you. The key is for you to be in charge and most importantly to depict a 'realistic you' in any photo. Bottomlin, the gentlemen you see should have no question that it is you when you walk into the room and no unrealistic surprises...that will only hurt you in the end in marketing your 'brand' and in moving forward successfully.
To get what you want, you should know what you want. Start with a 'concept' and go with it. Don't leave that up to the photographer because he's not in your brain. If you leave it up to him/her, you will look like the rest of his portfolio and not stand out.
You book the room.
You bring the wardrobe.
You direct him or her with the poses and what you want.
Pretty simple.
And most importantly, have fun and enjoy your stay with whatever location you do decide to book
Penthouse ? Because that photog is gonna jump out the window after about 30 minutes if listening to YOU tell him/her how to do their fucking job ? And don't worry your text is good , I couldn't have written it better myself !

for your replies to me? No. She asked the question I replied honestly. Not anywhere in my essay did it ask for yet another uncalled rude comment yet again. Whatever your beef is, get over it.
And im sorry but no, you couldnt have said it any better no matter how much you try to 'manipulate' my posts in quote form. Childish.
As far as the 'creative' world is concerned and what really goes on there...well, ill leave that one be.....
Have a good day.

Geez I'm so frustrated I need to get Laid.
Have a good day.
You would think a big shot with a Benz could afford a VIP membership with a mailbox so you could tell him off in a PM. Although i like it done publicly too.
That straight ! And your opinion counts for NOTHING , it never did ! Respond to her babble ? The photographer should stfu ? Maybe you but not the real ones !
I don't know why you'd attack a girl, we are the ones who do this successfully, right?
I agree with Taylor, you have to customize your shoot for what you want, for your clientele. Photographers love working with a girl who has a vision in mind. Like anyone, photographers get stuck in routines. I coordinate everything with the photographer via email before we begin and I know what my site is missing, the angles I prefer, etc.
All I want the photographer to do is offer professional insight, shoot the pics and have the best lighting in the universe!
Funny, you attacked her for telling someone how to do their job yet didn't you just tell us how to do ours?
I worked on the other side of the camera as a makeup artist for many years, I always listened to what my clients wanted.
And I still do in this business!
Xx
Why do u pick the ones u do ? Simply put u like their work , if I'm wrong correct me . Each has a certain style , technique etc. If your going to TELL them how to do your shoot while the shoot is going on , you made an expensive mistake . Test shits are simple and FREE ! Am I saying U have no input , nope its your shoot and your photos , honestly u have glamour shots as do many girls and the remarks she made about getting dolled up and not looking "real" are insulting to most women . Taylor has been posting for awhile and also believes reviews are stupid ? She has her opinion and I have mine . I like variety , she doesn't , oh well . And according to her , u as a name up artist wouldn't work either ? So who"s zoomin who ?
IMO and my personal experience.....
I have found that the best shots result from a collaboration of ideas between photographer and subject. If a girl tells the photographer what she wants, she's not wasting her money. On the contrary, she's getting her money's worth. I let the girl get setup in the way that she wants the shot to look. After doing that shot, I do variations on that theme, with shifting of arms, legs, body twists. If i see something totally different, we'll shoot that in addition to the original. But I'm on the lookout for the spontaneous. Sometimes a girl isn't even trying to assume a pose when suddenly she's in a great position and i say "freeze!" Sometimes the shot she just fell into works best.
In this business, photography has one goal: Make the phone ring.
For me to say that your expertise needs to be respected ? That perhaps , two heads are better than 1 , and throw in a makeup artist and 3 , can and will result in an awesome shoot for all ?

Anna the way u would sin sin , ? Variation , also the woman ? Now , my statement to Vanessa was because I saw her in the black leather n boots ? As well as the park , etc she great potential to do and go for various themes ? I'm complimenting the kadues , geez Anna looks beautiful , and taylorpoomuffinontipcherrypie needs to gave some freaking fun ! Dammit Taylor , I like the Teddy, now have bk take some real pics of u. More t n a !
The photography has a secondary goal, that's to get the right guy calling for the right girl. If I took pics that were edgy, gothic girl it would totally misrepresent who I am. I'm the girl in Dolce and Gabbana at dinner, and white silky pajamas in the morning. I'm the sweet, girl next door type. I wish I was Naomi Campbell or Kate Moss but I'm not!
I have boobs (giant ones) and curves and I'm pretty white bread in general.
My client needs to know this or he'll be disappointed. High fashion photographers will get the lighting I like, but do they know how to best shoot me? Sometimes.
My two faves know that my test shot is often the one we like like best, so true! And the pic of me drinking the champagne was just that, I took a sip and he took a pic and I loved it.
I'm also usually done in under 2 hours and my photographers are happy I know what I wanted and they don't have to drag it out of me!
Xx

High quality shots . Alot of girls don't , and if you did make up your in the business . The best photos were Kylie Daniels , she perfected multiple portfolios on her site .
