I’ll be back in action on May 1 and am starting to schedule appointments now. I know things have been difficult all around, so I have significantly expanded my travel radius to allow appointments in Boston, Baltimore, DC, Philly, and CT (along with my home NJ/NY region). The return to normalcy will be hard, but I’m working on ways to make it easier for folks in the region to see me where geography has previously stood in the way!
(As for having ads up, it never hurts to ask. The providers who are still active are getting a LOT of community push-back, so they may not be actively advertising that they’re available.)
It would appear that a high proportion of local agencies and independent providers are no longer offering services in person, either out of fear of the virus itself, due to declining demand, or a combination of both.
I cannot dispute the reasoning behind such decisions, but it does make things harder for those of us that are still comfortable hobbying or providing. There are fewer ads or other leads to pursue, and some ladies that still have their normal ads up are not actually offering in-person services anymore. A high proportion of providers have shifted to virtual services for the time being.
