Why should an AMP be any different? Others may disagree, but a $30 tip on a $170 "bill" is in the ballpark to my way of thinking. But your tip should be a function of the service you receive.

No it wasn't appropriate. I went to AMP and didn't want a HJ and still tipped $30 for 1 hr massage. The min is usually $20/hr for tip. You might meet a greedy one tho that doesn't want to return your change back when you hand them a hundred.
Anyone everyone is different. It is your money and you should spend it as you feel.
