I think that's great. To tell the truth, I've been staying away from the NY board because the drama was getting old. It's nice to have a week where the dialogue was cordial, repectful and interesting.

We should do this again.

Typical that those hiding behind an alias would make these posts in response to a well respected member's positive comment. about this board.  Trustno - maybe you spoke to soon

You take yourself FAR too seriously. Lighten up guy, and your Roids will stop itching. Do you ever smile, or laugh?

It is fun the bring up the controversal topics. It gets old after a while. The alias ends up the topic of discussion instead of the issue at hand. I continue to be amazed how much time and resources are spent talking about aliases.

Stop hiding behind an alias.  You keep making the case for banning them altogether.

What exactly are you hiding from?  I guess your alias correctly describes you - a flaming asshole.

Only someone using an alias like you sees it as a joke.  The use of aliases will ultimately kill this board.

As such those boards are dreadfully dull due to the fact that controversy or difference of opinion on a sensitive subject being linked to either hobbyist or provider can threaten either business or future pleasure.

There are infinite scenarios where "adult" use of an alias serves to stimulate and edify a discussion board by the very process of affording political protection of both author and/or innocent associates.

On co-ed boards such as these where POV can so easily be mistaken for misogyny or misandry by the overly sensitive or pugilistic it is truly sad when the membership continues too misuse and possibly threaten the continuation of this valuable feature for the sophomoric cause of name calling.

Seeing how even a topic as straight forward like this seems to draw out the very worst in hobbyist behavior.

I think you may have missed riders point which I took to mean that an alias used to express a legitimate opinion that may result in negative consequences to the poster, such as pissing of a provider, could be construed as an appropriate use of an alias.  I do not take that point of view to have anything to do with PC crybabies as you suggest Smelly.

The problem is that most hobbyists do not use an alias for the purpose suggested by Rider but rather it is used as a means to attack someone else without attribution.

So perhaps it is unfortunate that many (most) of us that have no use for an alias and would never consider using one would rather see their use banned entirely than reserved for the somewhat legitimate purpose Rider suggests.
