What is the right thing to do?!!!!!sad_smile

I am into the 3rd day of my stay in NYC,I'd set an appointmnt with someone and he had an emergency and had to cancel in short notice so I set it up with this other guy without the usual screening.
It's not my style to check and count the money right away and if I see the envelope I usually assume it has the right amount in it! (maybe I am naive but so far noone had taken advantage of it)
But this time the guy had put $500 fake 20's in the envelope!
Now my question is should I put his information (whatever I know anyway) here so at least it won't happen again with other ladies?
I wanna know what you guys have to say about this.
and this is the the skinny guy who did this"I hope you really feel good about yourself cheating a girl on her money! I hope you get what you deserve in life (that'd be s*t from every one)  "
And from now on if check the money right up front you'd know why!    Dissapointed girl   Leila  ;(

To err is human and forgive devine. It has been my experience that the brief satisfaction you may derived from "ratting" him out will really do no good. Be confident that what goes around comes around.

Sorry you had a bad time of it, but let it go.

Just my $0.02. Be well and play asfe,
RC

try paypal, this will avoid issues that you are facing and being rude and count the money which may look unprofessional. But it is a tough call. I heard you were retiring, best of luck

A past president of this country made that line famous. Please make use of it!

Secret Service about his money forgery activity which is a serious federal offense.

If they are monopoly money this will not applied.  However, if they are color copies or from inkjet printers, they will definitely be interested in the fact.

Since he Secret Service is not interested in escorting activities, I think this is a good way to get back to him without much risk.

He succeeded this time; hence I doubt that he will stop anytime soon.  A sting operation will easily nail him.

Let him enjoy his fun in federal penitentiary.

This suggestion might be a bit extreme.  However, I definitely think that lowlife deserved it.

Take care

Thanks for your inputs in this matter, I got many phone calls as well as emails suggesting the report to the secret service and that's what I did today. as some of you mentioned they really don't care about what I do and how I got it and since I pay taxes as an entertainer every year the are even gonna send me a letter so I can file it at the end of the year as a write off.I am mailing them the money as well.
I realized the money was fake when I looked at them closely (they weren't a very good job, probably done with scanner but definitely not monopoly $$ )and then someone made me notice that they were all having the same serial #!!!(he probably copied them from one bill)
and except this little incident I had a great time in NYC and everyone else was very nice and respectfull.
I am putting his info in here for the ladies:
He introduced himself as "Ron" tall young and skinny guy with a tattoo around his ankle and his area code is 646 and the last 4 digits of his cell phone is "2328"
He has light color eyes,is fairly decent looking and has light brown curly hair.
If any of the ladies have any question about him they can email me.
Once again thanks everyone for your support.I am leaving today and I must say I try not to take this incident personal anymore.jerks are everywhere and I am lucky just to catch one big jerk in 2 years being in the business.  Happy Holidays   Leila

Like it or not this is a dirty buisness and you will come across scumbags now and then.

You should post a description at least with his contact number to warn other providers.  That's not ratting him out, it's making other providers aware of a thief, who knows what else he's capable of.

Next time, when he uses the bathroom, check on it.  Either that or take it with you when you goto the bathroom to freshen up.  You'll know either way.

and yeah, post his info so other ladies don't get ripped off.

with other providers. I don't think this can be done here, but it can be done on other boards where there "provider only" discussions!
Sorry this happened to such a nice, lovely person.

I woulod let everyone know what happened and who he is.  As an honest client, I take offense because it only makes it more difficult for me when meeting a provider for the first time and also takes some of the spontaneity out of the meeting.  Someone above suggested a call to the Secret Service and I endorse that idea.  They won't be interested in your business at all, but will be interested in apprehending Mr. Fake.

I'm also curious as to how you found out they were counterfeit.  Most people aren't skilled in that area, unless you attempted to spend them and they were caught by a store clerk or bank teller.  Also, most countrerfeiters don't even bother with 20s any more.  They have to print and distribute too many of them to make the game worthwhile. Most funny money nowadays atre 50s and 100s

if you can post private info on this board! In any case it's probably not a good idea as this forum is for info of a general sense and the policy here is not to malign individuals. That's why a forum for providers would be great on this board!. Other boards have this available.

..to the secret service. I also heard from another provider in NYC that this guy had done this before to her as well ,so knowing he is a repeater in his pathetic act I tried posting his info here but it didnt get posted! maybe they thought it isnt right to do so!
If any of the ladies want his info please email me at [email protected]
(but can I just say he is a tall skinny guy who has a tattoo on his ankle?pleaaase?)
I don't think I should've just sat and let it go if there is a chance of this guy getting arrested for what he is doing.
We should try our best not to be victimized but if it happens anyway we should try to stop it from happening again! (at least that's my attitude towards life and problems)
thanks for all you inputs. I must say except meeting this jerk I had a wonderful time in your city.  xoxo Leila

Tis the season to do the right thing!  When I read Leila's post, I called right away and made an appointment to see her that evening.  She is a sweetheart and definitely did not deserve to be ripped off.  (I saw the fake 20's by the way -- scanned with a computer.  Not only was the paper obviously fake, but let's just say that the US Treasury does not make too many bills with the identical serial number.)  Anyway, on behalf of all NYC hobbyists, I wanted Leila to know that some of us will step up to the plate, take action, and do what we can to make things right if at all possible.

Tough call. Understandable the first reaction is expose him for his sin, but that's what we feel immediately and not think of the long term repercussions. I know you are upset that he faked you out, and he's a scumbag, but he may come back at you in some way or form that is much worse than some fake money.

Sorry to hear what happened. Spoke to you a couple of days ago and you are a truly nice person. He'll get his justice.

Post his info. along with his physical description, let all the providers know!!

Welcome to NY.  I am sorry this happened, but I can't believe you told everyone you were taken.  When did you say was your next trip to NY?

it is not right for someone to do this no question about it, i alwso would like to know how you found out they were fake, was it cause they looked real and you tried to pass it off or was it once you looked at it it was completely bogus?

Post the info to warn other providers who this low life is.
