hey everyone, i just figured out i could get here via vpn. i'm a very recent vip member and newbie (jul 2017) who's wondering, well, what now?? i just came across Waterclone's thread where it was mentioned a lot of the veterans here have left or are leaving, and honestly with the loss of TER and the reddit subforums like r/hookers and r/escorts i don't know where else i can find any reliable guidance in this hobby. other than p411 (which isn't really a discussion board) would someone happen to know where everyone's going to or at least pm some resources?? thank you so much!!!

TER is not telling us anything about what they think or will do, which is understandable under the circumstances. We can only assume the owners don't intend to let a valuable business remain in a death spiral.  So they must be working on a plan to either sell out or reconfigure the business to minimize any legal risks.  What that means or when anything may happen is anybody's guess.

People are using other vehicles to find each other. I created a Twitter account with a hobby ID and a Switter account. Through them, I am seeing posts from ladies about their schedules. And a lot of pleasant pictures. But limited information about activities and rates.

Many directories have been around awhile, and are gaining traction in the new climate. Start using search engines to find ladies you like. If a lady carefully manages her persona across platforms, that's a good sign she is serious about providing a good service and her clientele. Follow her Twitter feed to get a glimpse of their personality.

In the absence of U.S. reviews, I have decided to shift more of my mongering overseas, specifically to Latin America, such as Costa Rica, my next destination. I had been moving increasingly in that direction before this FESTA/SOSTA business anyway, and the disappearance of U.S. reviews will push me further in that direction. In my opinion, one of the few advantages of mongering in the U.S., aside from convenience, was the review system. It not only provided data on past performance but motivated providers to continue to perform well in the future due to the accountability that it created. Without reviews, domestic mongering is no longer competitive, as I am better off overseas, where I pay significantly lower and more flexible rates with (IMHO) hotter and more sexually charged Latina providers at I can "meet & greet" on demand and assess in person. Whenever I cannot travel, I rely on the domestic Sugar Bowl instead, since many of the girls there are effectively providers without reviews anyway. Without the accountability of the review system, the only incentive for providers to perform well is the desire for repeat business, which, IMHO is stronger in the Sugar Bowl because the girls do not want to feel like hookers and the male:female ratio is less advantageous for them than it is in the hobby world.

Yes they don't have reviews, but have been well worth the risk.  I have meet 2 new unreviewed providers since the fosta crackdown, turned out to be good experience. Both of them never heard of TER and they only have ads every once in a while. I am seeing prices listed, unlike before.  Saving ads everyday. Many from cl and bp are coming out the wood works. A couple have asked me to see some of their friends that are utr.

I've been meeting lots of interesting people on twitter and switter. Seems like networks are popping up on these places, and guys are sharing info behind the scenes much like they do (or did) here. Get a hobby twitter account!

We agree that Twitter can be a great place to network and learn. Switter.at is also becoming a good connection place.

It seems that any provider who "relocates" to a non US home base, their history all comes back, and new reviews will post.  That is of course, after you figure out a VPN option.  Discussion boards are still worthwhile, if very quiet given the thin participation.

Latin America is fine and all, but Toronto is ridiculously good for hobbying.  I’m from a part of the US where the local providers are generally older and heavier than I care to pay for, so I started doing the majority of my hobbying in Toronto.  The agencies are huge and numerous, and packed with young attractive women; the independents are good too.  And the prices are better than the US, and after the exchange rate they are a steal.  More recently I’ve been coming across girls from the US that go to Toronto for part of the year to work, cause LE isn’t always after them. Toronto is a hobbyists dream.  Also, they’re local review boards are up and running, and they’re free!

I agree with what Anneke said about how much things have changed and sadly, have gotten worse.    Many potential new client who have reached out to me refuse to be screened and given the climate, it is surprising.  This leads me to believe that despite all of the rhetoric out there from both providers and clients about the importance of screening, those protocols have become very lax.

I have found that often enough it is the ladies, gentlemen, & couples that lurk that more often book if they find you via Twitter or Switter! I think about those people who are at social functions but are off in the corner watching everything. It's like that - they notice all the nuances about us. It's rather fascinating.

What do you mean by "the domestic Sugar Bowl"?

By "the domestic Sugar Bowl," I mean sugar babies, e.g. on Seeking Arrangement (SA) and other such websites. Much greater variety and much better value for the money than vetted/reviewed providers. Up until FESTA/SOSTA, the only advantage of reviewed providers over sugar babies was that you (generally) knew what you were getting because there were reviews, and they had an incentive to behave themselves because one could hold them accountable by writing a review. Now that the reviews are gone, there is little reason to choose professional escorts over amateur sugar babies, unless one has a strong interest in a specific escort, or when a sugar baby flakes on you at the last minute.

Social media is a really great way to connect with providers right now. I have been meeting lots of lovely clients finding me on all 3 platforms!

Stop trying to see girls the day of.   You really needed to be told that?  It's a pretty obvious solution to what you described.

Some have forgotten that requests to meet were made in advance.  Not fifteen minutes before you were arriving in a city as you were driving to it on the interstate.  That seems to be the norm these days and I, for one, will always screen and will not make arrangements by text last minute.  Certainly not with someone I've never met.

I've really scaled back almost entirely since all of this went down. What was important to me about TER was that it was a place I could validate before linking up. Twitter and Switter and other sites are great for ads, but there is no way to know anymore what are you might be in store for. I know that reviews alone don't ensure safety, but someone with a long trail of reviews from known reviewers, could essentially be trusted. Now everyone is a total gamble, unless it is someone you have seen before. There appear to be other sites out there for ads as well, but some of them look like a lot of fake ads mixed in. What do you all use now to get a sense? Or do you all just throw caution to the wind and gamble? Someone having a nice Twitter page alone provides very little comfort.
