I recently developed an allergic reaction to latex. Fearing reactions to latex based products (condoms for example), I have dropped out of the hobby. I was wondering if any hobbyists and/or providers have dealt with this. I'm seeking a viable solution because I do want to remain an active hobbyist...or should I take this as a sign and drop out for good.

Regards and thank you in advance

Thanks for the response Nycad.. Would you recommend bringing your own condoms to an appointment and giving the provider a heads up? Would a provider feel comfortable using them

The coolest are polyisoprene:  lifestyles skyn, or durex avanti bare.  There are also heaps of polyurethane ones like Trojan Supra.

My advice is to go and buy a few of each and then try them on in the comfort of your own home.  You should find something you like.  If you go to a sex shop then you can ask for advice from the staff

.....in your fave search engine. I've met more than a few clients (and civvie lovers) with latex allergies.

Worst that can happen is she says no.
Best thing that can happen is that she is understanding and you gain points for being upfront and communicating the situation with her.

Good luck.

I keep on hearing about lambskin condoms but I have never seen one.  Where are these mythical creatures?

Most of us carry non-latex condoms.  I use non-latex as a default.  Not a bad idea to bring your own just incase though.  Sealed three packs are a good idea so the lady can know the have not been tampered with.
