Restaurant/Jazz Club/bar recommendations Please

Hi everyone

I am crazy for Sushi. Any great sushi places that you can recommend?
Also, some interesting and safe bars where I can go alone and feel safe and can have fun at the same time.
Live jazz clubs, restaurants and bar recommendations are also appreciated.

Blue Smoke/Jazz Standard

One of the few Live jazz clubs that also has great food. Blue Smoke has great southern and BBQ. Jazz Standard has great live Music and they are one and the same on East 27th street.

Tell me otherwise, but my impression was that your experience depends 100% on what seat you are assigned. More cramped than it should be, mediocore service, music was nothing to bring home about.

Sushi ...... Jazz

I'm a fan of both myself. I wish there was a jazz club / sushi place in one.
The Haru shushi restaurants are good, not overpriced.....
As far as jazz try " smalls jazz club " , it's nothing fancy but they have good music , cool crowd.

Yoshi's in Oakland (SF bay area) is a Live Jazz venue and a Japanese restaurant.

NY needs a place like that I guess for us sushi and jazz lovers.

on W 10th in the West Village. Great for jazz, but no sushi there
