Try Esca, right at 43rd and 9th.  Look it up in Zagats.  Very highly rated Italian seafood.

Ditto!  I seriously doubt whether there's any top-quality seafood in Times Square.  Maybe I'm stuck in the bad 'ol days, but the only seafood you used to find there was so-called East River Whitefish.

Or, hop the subway to the west village and try Mary's Fish Camp. Excellent food, although not as classy as Le Bernardin, which is also amazing.

GO TO THE BEST ONE  CALLED PASTY'S   AND ORDER FILET OF SOLE OREGANATA    ITS VERYGOOD ITS NOT IN MENU BUT U TELL THEM ( THE WAITER) WHAT I TOLD YOU   AND ADD A PASTA WHAT U LIKE    BON APPETITE

Another good reason to go to a place where they are serious about the quality of their food.

I work on the same block...and have never eaten there in the 5 years I've worked there. They did just recently renovate it...hehehe

Sorry to check in so late in this thread, but if you have not spent that much time in NY, the Oyster Bar in Grand Central, 42nd Street and Lex., is worth checking out for oysters, amazing clam chowder, and their signature Oyster Pan Roast.  Probably the most extensive selection of Oysters in the city (and we all love oysters, right) and a historic old restaurant to boot.

I just checked it out...you have no idea how long I have been looking for a place like this THANK YOU brynn!
