Stay on the East side of the river, to avoid cross river, rush hour traffic. Hotel Circle probably not a good choice, bad neighborhood. Far East Central, even worse. Uptown would be good, or the airport area. Welcome.

I'd recommend any of the nicer hotels/motels on the north side of town along Interstate 25.  Nativo is my favorite: it's fairly upscale with a Native American theme, great parking, easy access from I25.  Any visitors from Santa Fe will reach that area more easily.  The downtown hotels are ok but parking can be a pain.

Most of the girls I see are located near the airport, where there are many hotels or near 1-25 north corridor near the San Antonio exit.  Both are good áreas.  Some also stay near the 1-40 Carlisle área.  Look forward to seeing you!!
