Hi Y'all.  I have never dated a girl off of BP.  Simply put, I'm afraid of getting caught up in an LE sting.  All the other risks, such as it being a different girl from the picture, or an upsell scam, or a cash n dash I figure I could deal with.  

So how do you guys who do use BP protect yourselves from LE?  Are my fears justified or unrealistic?  I know BP is considered a "normal" place for girls to advertise their availability, at least in other cities.  But here in Abq I've been warned to stay away.  I wouldn't even bother asking if there were lots of well reviewed providers here who interested me. But since there aren't many, I find myself tempted by the BP girls.

I would say your fears are justified and then some. LE sting might not be the worst scenario you could face. The others that you do list, yes, you can deal with but no fun.

My very first online date was BP. I was so green and so nervous. It was classic bait & switch. The girl who opened the door was short and heavy, nothing like the svelte beauty in the photo. I was so relieved that it was not LE or armed robbery, I decide to just go ahead and bang her. I got it up but could not get off. After awhile she said let me go down, I'm good at it. To her credit, she did and she was, but still it was not a positive experience. TER rejected my review for lack of "juicy details". WTF? She drank all the juice.

Since then I have learned how to write reviews but it took me years to even try again. I have also learned better places to find dates than BP.

Some reputable providers use BP as well as other sites. I don't monitor BP much anymore, but sometimes have a look. I don't think I would contact a provider from there unless I could verify her elsewhere. That is how you avoid LE but even then, realistically, no guarantees.

The few locals we do have deserve our support.

Sweetman– you've got to be shitting me. You see Riley and yet worry about BP? I'm sure I shared with you the details of a Riley no-show about four years ago. That happened in the context of parked sherrif SUV in front of her incall apt and posted concerns of a violent drug dealing boyfriend. It was more scary than any BP sting. LE is not the concern, it is SO, boss/business.  

I have used BP. Albuquerque is worse than a waste of time. It's a reliable, consistent, disappointment and there is a significant chance of a LE encounter. The girl may be the same one in the picture, but much much less attractive, usually heavier and older. The incall bed will likely be rumpled and unmade. Expect slam bang thank you now leave. In Jackson MS, NO, Dallas, PHX I have had good experiences, but not here. I have even experienced the cash and dash. I was so pissed I just about called the cops.  

I don't follow Albuquerque news. You may know something I don't, but I don’t think LE will set up a sting just to catch Johns. They will be looking for something more important. In protecting yourself just think of politically correct hot points. Prostitution is not one of them. Child abuse/molestation, sex trafficking, sexual slavery, drug trafficking or things that could be interpreted as related to organized crime.  Just think of the charges Pops was facing.  I don't know what happened with Pops. They were BS, but illustrate how they won’t go after a fellow that just wants a piece of ass. One time in Albuquerque, I saw a gal that made a comment that she was pretty young. When I asked for a photo ID a couple of cops came in. I BSed with them a while and left. They weren't interested in prostitution charges (I was open with them — that was why I was there) they wanted me for something more politically correct.  

The LE danger, and one that LE will lever, is your SO, or possibly employer/business. If those are a threat stay away from BP. If not a threat, still, with a young gal demand a photo ID. Never arrange for a gal from out of state come in to see you or tour without certainty she is legit (literally a fellow I worked with in Louisiana spent 6 years incarcerated for that mistake). If you expect to see 1 gal and 2 show up (the excuse will be safety), expect a cash and dash.

Its a Gamble though. LOL and sweetman your to sweet to be dealing with any bad experances from there!!  HAHA BUT... BackPage happens to be one of the first places I started when looking into being an escort.I went to the adult hiring section and did some research .Its harder for the girls to break into the biz here .Its hard to become established as an indy provider and I think due to all the fakes/ vice stings and creepos  alot of girls have bad experiences when starting out because they dont know how to screen and where to place ads.I started with a high end agency which place hiring ads on BP before becoming indy so I could learn the hobby lingo,proper screening and basically learn the ropes before going indy.Since theres no established agency and Mainly Indys in ABQ it makes for slim pickings. I think there are probably some real quality girls on there that are legite but just don't have reviews. I would say mabey 1 in 10 girls ads on BP are real haha Not the best odd

I think that the key to safely using BP is to look for verification.  The usual items: a website, reviews, ads and posts in other places, Google the images, Google the phone.  Does she require references and verify her clients?  Finally, if it looks to good to be true it probably is.

Sadly, I think local LE will and do go after both clients and providers. The logical priorities you listed do not apply. I assume they monitor this board. We need be careful what we say here.

For newbies I'd guess having reviews or references would be most beneficial.  How one gets established with reviews starting out I could see being difficult.  Living here I know we have legit ladies but without stellar reviews or some one TOFTT then it is slim pickings.

To all who posted on this thread, thanks and you have confirmed my own gut feeling about BP.  I'll stay safe and stay away.  (Lilly, you are a sweety!)
