Hey y'all :)

Planning a trip to New Jersey soon and looking for the most popular place to stay.  I'm reading that alot of girls are visiting Atlantic City and meadowlands.  Are these the most popular areas?  Are there any places I should avoid?  Thanks for any help.  See ya soon!!

AC is on the Jersey Shore in South Jersey, over a hundred miles away from NYC.  Most of the people that that are there during the summer are from the Philly area, or are there to hit the casinos.  It's not quite Vegas, but it has some similarities, and it's right on the shore.  So if beaches are your thing...

Contrast that with the Meadowlands...that area is in North Jersey, has a large number of hotels of varying quality, and is in close proximity to NYC...only a few miles away, and easily reached via mass transit.  The area is popular hobby-wise, since there are several major highways that run through the area along that make access for us easy.  The scenery isn't that great, though, unless you like swamps.  The area's main draw is the sports complex, which is home to the NFL Giants and Jets.  There's also a racetrack, and arena.
Renting a car is recommended.

Both places are good, but are different experiences.

Well said! I would put preference to the Meadowlands. Even central NJ before AC.New York is minutes from the Meadowlands. Plus. NJ is home to many business minded gentleman who commute to and from the City as well.

Though you are bound to find people who want to play in AC...like Vegas, there are primarily party people, vacationers, etc....not necessarily your standard hobbyists . It makes screening and safety less easy to handle. I have found it to be a hit or miss.
