I recently returned to this business after a 3 year absence, and I have had the good fortune once again to meet some very high quality men.  I tend to make it a rule to generally stick only to established TER members.  However, as I am trying to get re-established, I broke my own rule of thumb...and here's where it left me.

Long story short...he wanted a morning appt., which Is stated on my website that I do not do.  However, I do make an occasional exception.  First of all, it's nearly impossible to find a decent hotel that will allow you a guaranteed check in at 11:00 a.m. or earlier.  I explained this to him and told him I would see what I could do.  A friend told me about a place that had "Short rates" and that it certainly wasn't the Four Seasons, but neither was it the Bates Motel.  I read some reviews about the place and all said that it wasn’t much to look at on the outside, but the rooms were clean.  Ok, still wouldn’t be my top ten choices, but I was trying to accommodate his request.  After spending more than an hour calling more reputable hotels to see about an early check in, I gave him this option.   He agreed to meet me there, and had I not missed the exit twice (because of traffic and not being very familiar with the area), I would have already checked in and have had the room ready...I like to have candles, etc.
I LITERALLY had just pulled into the parking lot and saw that I had a missed call from him.  I called him back and he said the hotel was too far and didn't look very nice.   So, now I'm dressed, in the hotel parking lot and he asks if I can meet him in another county a few hours later and that he would find a place.   Not happy about this, but fine...
Over an hour goes by and no word from him.  I call him back several times before he answers and he says, "Yeah, no, everywhere I called you can't check in until 2:00 or 3:00 so I don't think it's going to work today."  By this point, I was absolutely livid, because I have wasted hours getting ready and driving all over town.   No apologies, nothing from this guy.   In fact, I don’t think he would have even called me back to tell me it wasn’t going to work.

Gentlemen, I know that this was the exception, and not the norm here...he was not a TER guy.  However, just a little reminder that I'm sure the other ladies, like myself, take great care, time and effort into preparing for our dates.   A little courtesy goes a long way…on each end.

Ok, rant over!  Enjoy your weekend everyone!
