Case in point....A friend I once flew with, got a job as a St. Louis cop during one of his airline furlough periods. He worked the vice squad. She was suspicious, until he was stripped down to his socks, (His badge was in his sock). He handed her the fee, showed her his badge, and told her she was busted. She grabbed her purse, hit the door running, (still dressed), and he took out after her. The sight of him chasing her across the motel parking lot in just his socks, and his schwanz flapping in the breeze, had his backup laughing so hard they were unable to respond. She got away. He said that most of the urban legends about what a sting cop can or cannot do is pure bullshit.
I under the so called great United States have laws about runaways,child molesters,gangs,shop lifting and this,that. Americans are arrested daily for solicitation of prostitution or escorting without a license. Yet the phone book has advertised this service since 1986 and the state attorney has never requested it be removed! On a windy night in a low income neighborhood past 11pm you will see street hookers strolling down a commercial street while their pimps sits by. Of course officer friendly drives by in his patrol car and does nothing? Cops can and have stopped by escort agencies offices(I was sitting in my friends office when 3 stopped by to secure three escorts for a bachelor party:San Diego,Calif). What am I getting to well it's about time that this sexist law be REPEALED! The morals in this country are subject and if women,men,trans and clients don't protest. Then consider yourself a target for further arrest,media intimidation or a punchline. Street walkers should be allowed to work in a legal brothel that is designated for a red light district. Call girls along with escorts should be allowed a license from the court house and a health card from the county health department. Until women stand up and are willing to announce to their families then the stereotypes will soon dissipate from local lore.
