If you are going for a work trip and doing appts all day ...it isnt easy to have the energy to go out dancing so for myslef- ill usually stay ay Wyndham or Aloft...one of the nicer places and go swimming or the jacuzzi on day 1 (i dont work late on 1st day. Pool areas usually close around 10pm)  
Theres spa treatments around to get pampered or massages too...and a lot of good food. Usually i THINK about doIng this stuff but then do t have the time though haha) ALWAYS bring like 3 bikinis and then dont have time to swim!!!
