I have had the chance to have affairs, it is costly even if you don't get caught as the emotional energy and time commitment becomes a very huge drain.

If you get caught the lifelong damage and cost is severe.

I've had the chance to play in a few different types of arrangements, affairs, etc.  Back to the hobby for good now.

The risk, the cost, the emotional issues, etc. are some of the problems that you can encounter when playing around with civvies regardless of the arrangement.

The hobby is safer, is less costly in the long run, and has far fewer potential problems than anything that I've experienced outside the hobby.
