I'm a small town guy who visits the Newark area, always staying at a hotel near the airport, a few times each year.  Always read the 100"s of ads of beautiful ladies in New York, but have never ventured there.  Its not the rates, its because I'm a big chicken.  The propaganda I've heard and read about for years about traffic, rude people, getting rip off has been to much for me to pull the trigger.  I instead choose to pay a premium rate for a 2 or 3 hour appointment for someone to come visit me instead........

But that's just me, like I said, I'm a big chicken

the real problem is fighting traffic, paying the toll and sky high rates at the parking garages.

You can throw in the increase in the providers hourly rate which I won't get into since it's been debated ad nauseam

Make the trip from meadowlands to nyc and you will understand.
Car toll parking vs train and cab  travel time
Personally I stick to the Jersey Boys

Half hour drive for me.  Only the Meadowlands are closer...

North Jersey - usually not a diff in the least.

Central Jersey - about an hour drive. (not much going on - I reside in CNJ)

South Jersey... I wouldnt consider NYC at that point.

From my perspective, and a few conversations I've had in the past, Every gent is different. I've had guests drive hours to visit with me, and others who say 30 mins is a long drive lol.

I don't thinks its too far to travel, but depending on what part of NJ their trip originates from playtime may have to be mixed in with a trip they ALREADY need to make into the city.
