I've made trips down during the week depending on advance notice and work schedule/availability so I'm sure others have too. I can't say which days may work better or worse than others, there's too many factors and variables that come into play, but I have gone during the week so it's possible.

As for which hotels are good.. that I can't say. I've only ever stayed over once in my life since I typically just make day trips and drive back home after. I've only ever hobbied down there once or twice, and Id PM the one or two hotels I've been in or visited ladies in but I don't have PM privileges, sorry.
