I'm just starting out and have a problem I hope to get advice about. Answering emails from customers 2 days ago, one man became very irate that he couldn't see me immediately, and said I was to get him via email. I wrote back that I dont' do that, and that he should not email me for an appointment in the future. Right after I rejected him, he wrote to wish me well, then said that I'm crazy and that I'm going to "pay" and he's going to write a nasty review (I've never even met him or spoken to him on the phone). He emails several times a day to call me names and tell me that he is going to "get me back".
yipes...How do the reviews work?  Am I doomed now because I refused to see this guy?

If someone write a bogus review of you, and you know it is bogus, bring it up with the mgmt here at ter.

set your email to ignore his messages, so you don't even get them.

I am so sorry that you had to deal with that person.

Contact TER and  tell them what is going on. He shouldn't be able to post a bogus review. I, of course don't know the specifics of the e-mails you had with him, but he sounds...well, unsound in mind.

Just completely ignore him and go about your life. But defintely let TER know. TER is very diligent about substantiated reviews.

Good luck,

Mackenzi

Be thankful that you did not see him!  You have gotten good advise.  I hope he does not have your phone.

Does he claim to be a TER member?  Do you have the user name?  If so you should provide it to management now, not after he posts.  He may be bogus & not even a member.

Providers as well as clients should have separate secure e-mail & phones for business.

It's your business; your life...  you DO get to chose how you verify / screen new clients.
