both have many traveling providers who tour through Stamford and post details there.  Members can book through those sites.  BP is riskier unless the provider also has TER reviews.  If you  live in the Stamford area it is worth it to become a member of P411 and/or DateCheck (I belong to both).  DateCheck has a great recent feature where, if you select a gallery of providers from their listing it automatically can be called up in calendar form, showing which of your favorites will be passsing through and on what dates.  It's done by area, so you can also choose CT or NY Metro, for example.  That way you can see who's touring through White Plains, which is very close.  good luck!
