is it location...pic........words??

I can't speak for others, my interests are the picture, and/or description such as 5'5" 120lbs blonde... I tend to look for the slim and admittedly stay away from the 45+ crowd. Location too.. is it Maine, or Portland for instance.. which is a lot of difference in where a person might be found!

More than anything, I look for a phone number I can find a couple reviews on!

Dates and location are important.  A picture and website link is appreciated.

And while I'm at it, a geography lesson about Connecticut (not intended for you Julia): Hartford is not Bloomfield, Windsor Locks, Windsor, Enfield, or Farmington.  It makes a difference.

Good evening Julia. I'd say both pictures & words get my attention & specifically, the attention to detail in them in terms of description & pictures matching up to each other. On location, that matters for being able to plan if you want to see someone & the more specific the better. Saying you're touring the Boston-NH-ME area between dates X & Y with no info on what cities on what dates isn't very helpful to those who want to see you. I'd also say some providers can be a bit verbose in their descriptions. It's like they're trying to cram as many adjectives & descriptors into their sites & make it look like they're trying to hard instead of just writing cleanly & simply & letting who they are come thru at the encounter. As Albert Einstein said "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more complicated. It takes a touch of genius – and a lot of courage – to move in the opposite direction."

No one has mentioned times, but they can be a show-stopper too.  I, for example, like early morning appointments so if you aren't available until noon most days, or take weekends off, please say so.

For me it's good spelling and grammar. It shows me that if nothing else she takes pride in what she does.

....you actually care about spelling and grammar. I've seen way too many times "college educated" or a girl supposedly in college  who can't tell the difference in waste and waist etc lol. I know many might not care if the provider they are seeing isn't exactly a Rhodes Scholar but I think spelling and how you write etc is an important part of your image too.

And they also speak 14 different foreign languages and hold
three, or more, graduate degrees!! (are we getting laid or applying
to MENSA?

And.... WHY does someone seem to feel it's necessary to post
at least five times a day?!

...... the posting 5 times a day you must be referring to bp and in some areas cityvibe.
Anything more than twice a day is too much but the girls who post more than that figure the more ads they have the better chance they have picking up the next client or something as simple/immature as knocking the other girl down a peg or two. I've had many of cases where I'll post and 5 minutes late the same 3 girls lol are posting right over me lol. I don't waste posting more than twice anywhere even in my local area of D.C. where most post at least 4 times a day....it's ridiculous. And for example a more high-volume market like DC (backpage) it's 10 a post and multiply that times 4 for and let's say the avg girl works hmmm 4 days out of each wk that's 160 a week....more than a base monthly eros. In one month they are spending 4 base monthly eros ads on backpage *sighs*.

Good writing is a major plus, writing that draws me in even more so.
I prefer a local area code: I've learned NOT to visit providers from out-of-state (I'm in Maine). They're almost always run by 'agencies' in Boston, Providence or elsewhere, and I prefer an individual connection.
Well-shot, honest photos are a plus as well.

you'll find most are not agency girls.  There are lots of reasons for out of state are codes, I know when I moved to ME from PA it was awhile before I switched my number.  I also still had a 207 area code for awhile when I moved from ME to Boston.

BP may well may be a different story but then you should also be doing further research when perusing that site.  I post there when I travel to ME and a few other remote areas, mainly because it seems to be a popular site for Maine men to search vs. the more national sites.

Just a thought.

My biggest headache is trying to determine if the ad is fake and/or a bait and switch, or if it's genuine.  A non-standard, well-written description helps, as well as non-fuzzy photos, especially if taken in hotel rooms.  Over embellishments like jaw dropping, toe curling, unforgettable generally raise red flags and cause me to hit "back" on the browser. :)

What matters is what we learned in elementary school:

Who are you?

What do you offer?

When are you available?

Where do you entertain?

Why should we see you?

Everything else is just a variation on those topics.

I don't like it when a provider uses all kinds of symbols instead of numbers in phone number, i,e., using a capital O instead of a Zero, etc.  I wnat to be able to copy the number out of the ad, paste it into the TER search and find some info on her...

When a "NEWBIE" calls you

is because he saw your pic & phone number !

and then starts the stupid questions ...

Are you available ???

How much ???

What can you do for 60$ or $80 ???

Is that you in the PIC ???

etc. etc. etc. lol
