Check the Travelzoo web site for what appears to be a good hotel deal in the CT casino area.  

There's plenty of reasonable hotels near the casinos as long as you don't actually stay at the casino.

There is an app. for your phone called Hotels Tonight.  It's a same day only type deal, but you know the name of the hotel, unlike Priceline or Hotwire.
