It seems to me that with all the reviews, posts, chats, etc. here and elsewhere that with little effort it would be trivial for LE to id and tag anyone they wish at any time. What I don't get is why don't they? People often mention CL but isn't the same true for TER and other sites? And if not why not?

Putting it another way, what level of concern should I have as I'm on my way to my first ever?

Everything you read, reply to, explore, investigate, etc. is ENTERTAINMENT.  It is incumbent on LE to bag you for doing otherwise.  There is no illegality until money has actually passed hands.  

Do you expect LE to be waiting for you when you make your first connection?  This does happen from time to time on CL listings - you hand your $$ over to a babe who is an undercover cop (and you asked her to for some carnal service or services).

The reviews here and everywhere else are entertainment only.  (You DO find reviews entertaining, don't you?)  And if you decided to contact one of the providers who is well reviewed, you will have to prove to her/their satisfaction that YOU are not LE.  It's called having REFERENCES.

do not HAND her money....kiss her upon arrival...have some email banter w/o the mention of money...feel out the situation before you dive in head first...read her reviews..if she hasn't any reviews BEWARE...if she has but 1 review by a gent who hasn't reviewed anyone else further investigate...I'd go with a gal whom is well reviewed and you shouldn't have any issues

.. to exchange or offer money for sexual services.  A respectable lady is merely offering you her time for a specified amount; what occurs later is purely between two consenting adults.

Make sure he knows its a provider reference.  I have to explain this a hundred times a day via email.  I actually had one gentlemen who gave me his mothers name and phone number as his reference.
