Greetings from The Nutmeg State!
(Ya’ll know your State Nicknames? lol)

Introducing myself, and some odds and ends….

I just discovered TER Discussion Groups, and this is my first post! For now, I’m reading the Newbie Board, the Regional Board for New England, the Regional Ad Board for New England, the General Discussion Board, and the Meet & Greet Board (with hopes of meeting many of you at the next NE Meet & Greet). Sounds OK for a Newbie? I'll always welcome feedback.

My name is Nooner, and I'm from the Hartford area. I am totally new to Hobbying (I love that word!) beginning just one month ago near the end of November. Why did I wait so long in life? lol. I’m having an awesome time meeting many great Providers.

Like most beginners, I guess, I delved into it by spotting an ad on a general posting site and taking a chance with it. I’m so grateful I very quickly discovered Date-Check (“DC”) and TER quickly after that. Now, I exclusively use a continual combination of DC and TER to find and screen Providers to see. Hate to mention this on TER, but I find people to see on DC first, I read their Profiles there, BUT, then always click on the TER button in their DC Profile to come over here to see if their rating numbers are high to meet my new criteria of wanting to now stick with only top providers from here, and who tour into my state (there seems to be always 2 to 4 out of state providers stopping in Hartford every week). FYI: My handle here is Noonie101, and my nickname at DC is Nooner101.

Perhaps I’ll figure out the entire TER site a bit better in the future. Personally I don’t find it as user friendly for someone like me who probably should buy a TER for Dummies book to read first.  HaHaHa... But that’s me. Regardless, I love what TER offers and love checking the review rating numbers on potential appointments.

I have to laugh at myself in looking back at this first month of Hobbying. We are all busy with personal commitments, yet I find it funny how many references I’ve racked up for myself on DC (11 as of this morning .. lol) and how many reviews I’ve been able to complete (about 8, I think). Those are hard to complete! My personal take is that there are too many boxes to check Yes and No and enter data in (like trying to remember their age range or height range or whether or not they have curly hair, curls, etc. Lol. Oh well. I’ll try my best in getting as many done to do my part in helping the group of guys and gals out here.

Hey, Happy New Year to you all! This is fun stuff and I hope to meet so many more Providers who tour into Connecticut, as well as continuing to see regulars based nearby and meeting more Nutmeg’ers (Did you forget the State Nickname for Connecticut so soon? lol).

Stay safe this holiday weekend!

There actually is a TER for Dummies, of a sort: It's called The Self Help Manual, and you will find a link to it on most boards, just look for the red and white life preserver.

It's chock full of useful information about the hobby and TER in particular.

Spend some time perusing it.

Kinda slim picking in the Nutmeg State compared to other places in the country.  There are a few local gems, but we are blessed to be between NY and Boston so we get a steady flow of touring providers that sometimes raise the bar.

Good luck in your new hobby and have fun.

Thanks MT. And I agree fully on the "steady flow of touring providers". I'm delighted so many were in Hartford in December and for a couple bookings I already have lined up in January.

You guys are extremely lucky to be able to enjoy all those wonderful women.its my hope that even just a few will travel to Maine.  CONGRATS GENTLEMAN
