Goodbye...

As everyone knows, things change.  We've seen it recently with the new look of TER…. and we all know how life continues to throw us curves every day.  It's been said that the only thing that is constant is change.

Over the last several weeks, there have been a lot of things happening in my personal life and most of them have not been good.  In the midst of all this, I tried to help a former provider who was planning to return to the hobby because she said she was desperate for money and needed to escort.  Unfortunately, in doing so, I betrayed the trust of others. I suppose you could say that it was the wrong thing to do for the right reasons.  What I didn't know was that the woman in question was not reliable or trustworthy.  To say that I got burned by her is an understatement.

To make a long story short, it is necessary for me to resign as a Moderator on TER.  This situation has left me with a VERY bad taste in my mouth, and I'm finding it hard to participate in this hobby as a result of it.  It's not the first time I've been burned by a provider but it's certainly the worst.  I've always tried to believe the good in people and perhaps have always trusted too easily.  This incident has me re-evaluating that.  Live and learn.

I've enjoyed my tenure as Moderator and I'm sorry to go.

Be well, be careful and be safe.

I'm sorry you've been used !!    There are some very nice providers/services out there, and I've been lucky enough to meet a few ! But, Sadly this kind of treatment has been becoming more and more common!    Some of my favorites are retiring and I think I might be retiring with them as well....  I guess I've started to lose faith in this ! Too many rip offs, to much deceit ! And worst of all, I , believe some providers/services are forgetting we are people too, people with feelings !!! And..  not just a revenue source!

Good Luck !

Not sure what happened but sorry to see you leave . Unfortunately this hobby has a lot of unreliable people . That is why I have never given personal information

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles and hope you come out of them OK in the end.  Thanks for supporting us here and good luck going forward.

I am so sorry to see you leave as a Moderator here on TER, I wish you the very best of luck and don`t let one "bad apple" ruin it for you.
Best Wishes,
Vivienne

...the hobby shouldn't be dominating anyone's life; get a girlfriend/wife/significant other and enjoy; and if time, resources, and a healthy outlook allow, then have some fun.  TER will probably be here to help.  Your story is also a good reminder to many of us; that the folks with whom we interact can't show their true selves: that we don't know real names, residences, marital or family status, health, finances, criminal record, etc., so getting involved beyond the pure hobbyist-provider is always ill-advised and usually dumb.  In fact, if anyone should know that, it would be a TER moderator.

but I will not question your judgement.  If this makes it less stressful for you, then it's for the best.   There are ups & downs in life.  I'm sure that you'll deal with all the bumps in life's road, all in due course.  Focus on dealing with issues.  The hobby can wait.
Sincere Best Wishes,
skb

IMO, you've been a good moderator. I'm sorry to hear you were thrown some hard curves; but please don't let the bad blind you to the good.
