Looks like the cause was track maintenance.

I love the train...great way to run into Boston. BTW...Active duty military and Veterans ride for only $11 on the 11th of each month.

and on of the conductors is a redhead...sigh

luckily when I see it I'm catching a commuter and not the Downeaster.  If you've got the app you can have alerts sent to your phone via text.

These cancellations can't be good for those traveling to OOB, it only stops there during beach going season.

Is there anything in Dover? lol

But idgaf when I am supposed to be in freaking Portland lol  I know you warned me but I really didn't think that the train wouldn't run all week long which seems to be the case here

Especially since it hasn't been very long that the line extended service to Brunswick.

BTW, laughing at and loving idgaf...that would be my standard reply for some posts!

I had originally planned on heading to Portland this week, maybe we would have been stuck in Dover together, hmmm ;-)

Much of the line of track is being repaired over the summer/fall due to the extreme winter we had here in northern New England. They also don't run in extreme heat which I am not sure what temperature/dew point  determines that.

Good luck to you and maybe try Concord Trailways next time? ZipCar even?
You are less likely to get "stuck" without ground transportation.
