Hello,
I am coming for a visit this month and I would like to know where are good places to eat, stay and have a good time, Maybe casinos, etc! Any suggestions would be awesome! Thank you!

Hey there,
What kinds of food/drinks do you enjoy? There are tons of choices... and in particular a couple areas where there are many solid options.

Google South Grand for many reasonably priced ethnic restaurants, Lafayette Square for some charm and higher end places, maybe Central West End....

I like fine dinners, but then I love home cooked meals.

When I travel,I like mexican, italian, sushi, seafood, a little taste of everything.

I was told there is a great BBQ place to check out as well. One of the best!

Can't wait to visit!

The hot barbecue place is Pappy's Smokehouse @ 3106 Olive, 314 535-4340. And don't forget to check out the fine Italian cuisine on the Hill.

If you can't get to Pappy's, try Bogarts in Soulard which is also owned by the same folks as Pappy's.  Soulard is just south of Downtown St. Louis.  Pappy's is in midtown.

If you like Italian The Hill is like Little Italy I am here on business and Zia's was absolutely fantastic.  If you crave dessert for the room there is a bakery diagonally accross the street which has great Cannolis and Cream Puffs.

There are so many great choices depending on what you like to dine on.

For BBQ I recommend Pappy's

For casinos you have your choice of Lumiere and River City which are more upscale located near downtown. Out in the western burbs you have Harrah's and Ameristar. A quick jot over on the Metrolink gets you to the Casino Queen.

Then there are fun places like City Museum, AB Brewery Tour, Missouri Botanical Gardens, St Louis Zoo, Science Center, Grant's Farm, etc.

There are so many unique(non chain) restaurants. If you don't feel like going out to eat, but dislike room service food there are two delivery services that are excellent- http://569dine.com/ and http://www.allrestaurantsdeliver.com/ St. Louis is the largest area in the mid west for casinos. Many hotels offer shuttles to the casinos. If you haven't been up in the arch, it's something everyone should do once. If you like strip clubs, there are several right across the bridge in East St. Louis- which is actually in Illinois.

I love the casino! Almost as much as I love Las Vegas and down town Las Vegas! Something about the atmosphere, the smell of the air, the noise of the slot machines, Roulette, Slot machines, Black Jack, Penny Machines! I love it all!

Who Wants to take me to the Casino to experience it in STL??
