I saw the story about the explosion at Country Club Plaza on the news.

I stayed in the Plaza area last Dec. The local lady that visited me in my hotel actually recommended the restaurant that suffered the tragic explosion.  Knowing the exact spot and time of the accident I am amazed that there was not mutiple fatalities.

I agree. It must have been terrifying. My heart goes out the families that lost their loved one.

It was pretty bad. The owner is an old friend of my family. The city has really rallied together for those effected, there was a big benefit concert and a lot of other restaurants donated a portion of their proceeds to help.
