Free the Domes!

Some of you may have heard of a certain prank that has become popular around the world, involving the liberation of garden gnomes!  It was popularized in several films including my favorite, "Amelie."  The prank involves stealing a gnome statue from someone's garden, taking it on trips, photographing it in front of famous landmarks and sending the pictures to the owner!  An organization called "The Garden Gnome Liberation Front" (http://www.freethegnomes.com) has dedicated itself to the freeing of garden gnomes in France.  Many other groups around the world have formed similar organizations.  You may be familiar with the Roaming Gnome of the Travelocity commercials who was adopted as their mascot!

A few years ago when I was traveling, it occurred to me I could do something similar and  photograph a certain part of my anatomy in front of those well-known landmarks.  I realized I was passing by many roadside attractions on my driving trips right here in Minnesota and thought, why not use these?  There are dozens!  I decided to begin the journey this summer and here are the first two…look for more to come!  Perhaps you'll invite me to visit an attraction near you and photograph me yourself?
