Our mission here at the equestrian center is to provide an exceptional riding experience for those who love riding but don't have the luxury of riding at home. Melissa's riding center offers a safe environment where you can come to ride without first bailing the hay, or playing farrier to the Mare at the home stall.

Melissa's passion and love of riding in conjunction with her desire to share that experience with others has resulted in her use of many horses that she has rescued from terrible conditions of neglect, abuse, and even death. A true lover of riding Melissa is well known for nursing even the most neglected of animals back to a rich full life.

Melissa is friendly and knowledgeable, she would love to take you riding and give you the riding adventure of a lifetime!

Melissa offers several lesson programs, all focused on recreational riding, for hobby, fitness or learning. Allow Melissa to guide you to new levels in your riding experience through her confidence and competence program of skills building. Any level of rider or riding discipline can benefit from Melissa's riding techniques.

Your Riding Lessons will include:
Developing the balance of both seated and standing riding. (you will only understand the meaning of this if we have previously met).

One may scoff that it does not take that much to ride.  That might be true.  It all depends upon how much one wants to get out of the experience of riding.  The more one continues to learn, the more one realizes that riding lessons, while they are very hard at times, can help one develop courage, sensitivity and assertiveness.

No need to bring your own Tack, everything you need for the perfect riding experience is provided.

I may be always be jockeying for a better position, but sometimes it's better to just ride it out!  The mane thing is, having something to ride. So pony up for the visit. In no time you’ll be back in the saddle and sowing your wild oats.
