Anyone ever heard of or experienced a provider falling for a client and quiting the biz? Not pretty woman style, a regular guy.
I heard about a guy who won the lottery once. Odds are about the same.
they may wish for it....you may think it is possible...but bottom line...nothing but a pipe dream....
stated and for those that do, half or more don't end well.
Enjoy the hobby and ladies for what it's worth and you'll be happier for it. If you are looking for a wife, so or gf, the hobby is probably not the best place to look for one.
Friends might be more likely. Although I have heard a story or two of providers and clients becoming "items", as others have stated it is very rare. The good providers are adept at making you feel like there is more going on than there is. It's part of the fantasy, and what we pay for. Sometimes we hobbyists forget that...

I would agree that circumstances can dictate, but I am a believer in what will be. My wife and I met 20 years ago in a physic ward. She had just tried to kill herself and I had done so weeks before. I was really depressed and was threatening to try again. Not the best circumstances. She was 38 and I was 31, I had 2 kids and she was childless. I had a vasectomy and thought that I was done with being a dad. We got married almost a year later, I had my vasectomy reversed, we had a child in 1994. We have traveled to Europe, been on two week long sailing trips. I have been to the far east on business and an unbelievable golfing trip to Scotland. Mexico twice, once with the entire family, a cruise with the entire family where I was crowned the bj (black jack...my kids laugh at this to this day) champ of the cruise. I won $500. Not bad compensation ladies for a bj champ. It has been a great part of my life, but it is coming to an end. Look what I have learned is that providers are humans, hobbyists are humans. Humans connect with humans, it is what drives me, it is why I enjoyed the hobby. So yes I believe that someone can have a relationship with a provider. I have seen it with a golfer acquaintance. It is just 2 people, if there is an attraction, a need, a want to share a life it doesn't matter what label you put on the individuals, it is about feeling, it is about circumstances.
Heard a million more that crashed and burned. Long odds against it working but you never know.
Yes, it certainly can happen. It happened to me. But, from my experience I would concur with prior postings in that the hobby if not the right place to look for a gf or wife. I know of a number of cases where the client was duped into thinking it was like that but was actually the pretty woman syndrome. The financial support continued under the context of a love affair and talk of marriage. In once case, there were actually two or more clients of the same provider being conned at the same time!
I also know of a number of cases where it was true love and they lived happily ever after, for about a year or so.
The hobby is where a lot of lonely guys fall victim to the true GFE providers and are either strung along till they are broke, or the provider senses that they have lost their sense of reality and they are cut off abruptly, thus turning them into stalkers with dire consequences for both parties.
Rule #1 - You cannot buy love
Rule #2 - If you are looking for a regular girlfriend or long term relationship, the hobby scene is not for you. I recall a provider once telling me what she tells all clients that get too chummy - "hey guy, this isn't match.com"
Here's a start.
Go home, run a bathtub full of cold water.
Add 10# of ice cubes.
Take off your clothes and get in the tub.
Take all your money out of your wallet and cut it in little pieces with a pair of scissors.
This gives you practice at being broke and miserable.
Most of us, men and women, are normal people when you get us away from the "hobby". Of course, there are broken people out there and that isn't confined to one side of the equation. I know of three relationships, including mine, that started right here on TER. It takes maturity and mutual respect, just like any other relationship. There are many, very real women here. If you treat them like a whore, don't expect them to treat you like anything more than a pathetic loser that has to pay for it. If you find someone that you truely click with, it can be a very fulfilling relationship.

The average marriage lasts a little less than 5 years statictically. The average dating relationship far less than that. If all you are looking for is a fabulous time with a woman for an undisclosed length of time, every relationship is successful. I have dated a few women for 6 months or less, they were AWESOME times, was also married for 25+ years. I think it was well worth the time as well. Just because a relationship ends does not mean it was not worth having! I like mine found here very rewarding if but an hour at a time!
