Thanks hun for the shout out. You're sweet, but I'm certainly not on my way to being a spinner. Yes, I'm thinner than last summer and I work with a trainer weekly to get me into better shape, but I have no desire to be as thin or small as a spinner. Besides, I'm not cut that way. I'm a little over 5'6" and the definition of a spinner to me are the tiny ladies (lots of times Asian) you see in the "teen" section of pornhub.com. They are short and thin. Tiny. So tiny that I could fling or spin them myself, because after all I'm athletic and muscular in the shoulders. Strong. Far from a spinner.

I am not shilling for anyone, though I am interested in guy's opinions by PM for my personal information on where best to spend my own time. A: In the fairy tale, Rumpelstiltskin, the miller lied to the king that his daughter could spin straw into gold. This has nothing to do with how the term ´spinner´ is used in the context you´re asking about. ;0)
Think of a very petite woman of around 100 lbs or so and shorter than average; 5´4“ or less. She is light enough that an average guy can easily control her weight and spin her around from a cowgirl (or Asian CG) to a reverse cowgirl (or RACG) without becoming uncoupled in the process. One thought is that this may have originated from the Asian basket technique in which a woman is suspended in a basket which hangs on a pulley. Her bottom is exposed through an opening in the basket and the man, using a rope with the pulley, is able to raise and lower the pik-a-nik basket onto his big bamboo and spin the basket as well. There variations to this definition and technique limited only by your imagination.

And, it isn´t a myth. In Hong Kong, there is a place called “House Of All Nations“ that has been there since 1890 or so. They offer the basketed girl with two “assistants“ who control the basket, and turn it as you direct (fast, slow, up, down, or “wiggled“). “Spinner“ for them is not unique, since most of those girls are rather tiny, and they know that guys like the sensation. By the way, one of my reviews has learned to do it flawlessly, and she is 5´4“...so it just takes some length on a guy´s part, and some flexibility and gymnastics experience on her part.

The original meaning, as I know it, was always sort of cartoonish and make believe hyperbole, that she was so tiny you could spin her around like a top in cowgirl. Then it became the act of her going from CG to RCG without having you come out.
But spinner has always been a state of mind. If in the eye of the beholder she is a spinner to you, she is a spinner.
I guess BBW is similarly broadly construed by many guys to be many things....
In my bed, Katy Perry (below) is a spinner. In someone else's bed, maybe it has to be Amai Liu to qualify.
