Seems like I have been getting poor reception lately on my Tracfone and on certain occations I have also lost calls when I didn't before.  I even had to explain this to my ATF.

Just wondering if anybody else has had recent problems with their Tracfone reception?? I suppose I could get a new one but I have over 100 pre-paid min left on this one.

Also, are these Wallmart Tracfones still the best hobby phone if I have to replace mine??  I haven't shopped around for a better one yet.

I've had my Tracfone phone for over 5 years with no problems as of late.     Speaking of newer, I've been tempted to get a new Tracfone with a camera since most providers are picture friendly lately.

your un-used minutes to a new trac phone if you go that way.

similar one but it may not be compatible in this area. Both also are internet and email friendly. Not like the Iphone but it will work for light use and quick access.

Your minutes should be transferable if you choose to upgrade plus the LG500G also has doubles minutes for life built in.

Stay away from the touchscreen phones from Tracfone.

My tracphone from walmart is about 3 years old and still works fine.
Motorola I think.  It takes fair pics and you can store them on the
phone....but if someone tries to send you a pic the phone chokes
on the large size file.  Same with trying to send a pic....it chokes
before it can send.  No internet, just basic call and text.  Have
never had a reception problem.

I noticed this also! My Tracfone has had 'no service' recently in areas where I used to have no issues.

Tracfone recently got a lot bigger via another network acquisition... so it shouldn't be a systemic problem.
