While I understand that providers in MPLS are extra cautious these days I am surprised that the majority of providers I have reached out to via email have not given any response at all.
I'm sending simple polite messages, including references, one a White List TER reference, my TER handle and my first but not last name. Am I doing something wrong? Are references outside the Twin Cities not good enough? Previously, I have only seen providers while traveling on business.
I had assumed that initial contact via email might make things easier but even providers who have email as their only contact method have not responded.
I have to agree with the original poster and some of the comments made her. Some providers simply don't response. It would be a better business practice to send a response stating " Sorry I am not taking any new clients". IMHO
Some of those that do respond are paranoid. I don't partake in the hobby on a regular basis, so I don't have a list of providers I can reference here in town.
I would think however by being a VIP member with some legit reviews should count for something?
My name is Leann. I never reply to emails for a few reasons. I like to keep a very low profile for one thing. Secondly, the fewer paper trails, the better. Most importantly, part of my screening process is having a phone number at my disposal, and your voice and the content of a live interview helps a lot in determining wether or not you are safe. I do however make it clear in my ads that I won't respond to emails. I think that's only fair. Hope this helps shed some light on the issue.
