Yikes and Oh Shit!!!!!

Ya know?  I have shuddered at times of a possible appointment that I show up for, or open a door to my son.  Even with the most thorough screening, it is possible.  Now THAT's an Oh Shit!!!!

What are the odds of having a client who was a high school classmate (currently married to another high school classmate) show up at your incall?  It was shock at first, and laughs later.  The client wanted to keep seeing each other (as in being a regular).  I'm curious about what would everyone do with that scenario.  Trainwreck waiting to happen?  Discretion would be must for a continuing arrangement, but the cats (lots of em') are already out of the bag even with only one appointment.

Stuff like that is bound to happen now and then but that has to be close to the record for an incredibly awkward and shocking moment!

Funny how the brain can justify that kind of thing, but something similar happened to me a few years ago.

I was out of town on business and took advantage of the free time to hire some company for the evening.  Turned out, the lovely young college girl who came to my door was a friends daughter and high school classmate to my own daughter!

I was scared shitless, but all I could think of to say was "So this is why you couldn't go to dinner with me huh?"  The ice was broken and we had a great time after dinner and a few drinks to calm the nerves.

She's in grad school now and I still help out with tuition on occasion, but I think I'd die on the spot if my kid was at the door....
