It seems that there are fewer options in Minnesota than there used to be. It also seems that as soon as a new GFE gets a couple of positive reviews under her belt she raises her price to $300.

What I can afford and what I will spend are two different questions. It's not necessarily what I think any particular girl may be worth, it's more what I will feel good about spending for what I usually get out of it. I'm definitely hobbying less lately and it may be because of the limited options in my "feel good" price range.

The number of reviews of massage providers seems to be out numbering the escort reviews these days. I've notice that so many of the MN escort providers are requesting donations of 350, while massage providers seems to be in the 150 range. I've only seen a few massage providers but I saw them as full service. I'm assuming that both ends of the spectrum are getting good business but what happened to the middle range between 350 and 150. It seems to be getting smaller. Do others notice this?

I do live up north and very seldom do we get quality ladies to visit us up here " Duluth"  and when they do its usually for a day ,so it may not fit our schedule. Now to drive to the cities to see a reviewed provider---travel time  6hrs,  gas$75---provider $350 if its not incall ,add $100.I for one have to hobby less.

Many of the massage providers are truly into what they do, and it shows. Some of the FS providers in the "mid price range" kind of leave you feeling like they wouldn't be doing this if they didn't have to. They want to make as much as they can before people stop calling. If I never leave another session with that feeling, I'll be happy. The reason the ladies that really love FS can command top $$$ is just because of that, and thank goodness for them, too. I've also found FS providers for ~$120 that are among the best anywhere.

I think that it very well COULD be a sign of the times.  I'll also raise my hand to 2Late's comment about having a few reviews under the belt.....time for an increase.  I did that about a year and a half ago (after 20+ reviews).  Believe it or not, increases are good and not-so-good.  An example of the good is the number of hobbyists who found me said that they did so by using the TER search feature for price?  I've been told a few times that 300 was the minimum that they were searching for various reasons.

Two-edged sword however.  I've also been told that when I went from 250 to 300, that I priced myself right out of their budget (both financially and whatever other mental block exists(ed)).  Doing what I thought was the astute answer I let it be known that to all whom I'd visited with before the increase, the rate at the time that I saw them would be the grandfathered rate.  I've noted that many providers do the same.  Many still take advantage of my grandfathering, as I'm a woman of my word.

So one moral of this story is to get to me before I hike the rate again.  LOLOLOLOLOL

To tell you the truth it always kind of pisses me off when I know someone else is grandfathered in because they were (and I wasn't) lucky or smart enough to get it while the gettin' was good! It would probably piss me off more though if I were a good client and my provider offered 'new customer specials'. Guess I just enjoy being pissed off!

BTW Cate, I have had the pleasure and I'm not pissed off about that.

2late, I couldn't agree with you more.....  It also pisses me off when NEW clients get specials rates and a returning- many times- client pays the higher rate as always.       It's called moving on.....

Most of the current massage providers do not seem to be offering FS. I was merely commenting that I have had little experience with massage providers per se. A good example is Alantra. I saw her several years ago as an escort even though she is well known (for good reason) for her body to body massage skills. It was an escort appt.

I have been watching your market for a long time. The prices were $300/hour years ago back in 2001/2002. Also there are lot corporations in your area ==> lots of money to spend. Don't forget about the sports teams and the huge medical infrastructure you all have more high clients ==> higher demand ==> prices increases.

Washington DC (where your reviews are from) has the lowest unemployemtent rate in the country (around 4% or so).  This is mostly due to the expansion of $100k/yr federal government jobs the last few yrs.

Yes, we are lucky to have the presence of many large fortune 500 companies here and also a diverse economy (high tech manufacturing, medical device, health care, hospitality, etc).

The expansion in government/contracting jobs is coming to an end. There will be massive cuts in DOD and other government agencies in 2013. I will be interesting to see if he commercial economy can take up the slack of government cuts. Right now we have many touring providers if they cut back on visiting they might come to your area more often causing some the prices to come down.

I've noticed more ladies asking 300+ but it still seems to me there are plenty of ladies at 300.  The Elves are at 250 and I think the Asians that rotate through are 200 or less.

This is almost counter-intuitive. With the dismal job market and terrible economy, one would think there should be more ladies becoming escorts, thereby driving down the price. The fact that many providers raised their prices just defies basic laws of economics. I am keeping a money jar handy. Whenever I feel the urge to see someone, I would put the money into the jar, and every three months I would empty the jar and use the money to buy some good stocks :-). Sorry, ladies!

Seriously, I mostly agree and fully endorse a good investing program... But there is more to life and the stock market is risky..... You know you could take it a step further and reward yourself by spending a portion of any overal gains on fun stuff for yourself... Just trying to do my part to support the economy!
