It is not wide-spread, at least not at this point, and we have no reason to think it is hitting the provider/hobbyist community that we on TER are in. All this might change in the future but my viewpoint is that this is something to keep an eye on, not something that is an imminent threat. And I feel safer with the escort I see than if I were picking up women in a bar or whereever; I think their is a much lower risk of STDs amongst the escort community, excluding streetwalkers.
This is just the way I look at it; everyone has to make their own decisions about what they feel safe with.

The more people travel the more likely they are to be exposed to more different types of infections. Come to think of it traveling hobbyits may be of more concern.
