Why Don't Providers Get a Voice?

The idea was to allow hobbyists to post about their experiences with providers via reviews so hobbyists would have a better chance of seeing good providers in whom they were interested and avoid other ones.  TER has never built anything into the site that allows for provider feedback on their own reviews; you have to complain to TER via the appropriate Contact Us link and even then it's often hard to get them to do anything.  Beyond that, you would have to deal with TER directly to see if you can get a better answer.

I don't think it's necessarily controversial for a provider to speak up about a review on the boards.  The fact that a few do for whatever reason doesn't mean most readers of these posts agree with them.

As vorlon said, this site was created with the hobbyist in mind and they are the ones that pay the bills. I don't see a problem with a provider calling out an asshole hobbyist, but keep in mind that actions like that might get you labeled as a drama queen, etc. and ultimately hurt your business as a provider or get you banned.

You'll just have to trust that clients are smart enough to realize that reviews can be fake (for or against) or revenge, etc.

We all know that reviews are unverifiable.  We all know that providers always have a financial interest in shaping reviews.  Combine those two elements and no negative review would last 24 hours if providers could dispute them and have them changed (since there is no way to verify whether the review was accurate or not.)

I understand your frustration. TER was created for the sake of "hobbyists" and not for providers. This results in an unbalanced system where reviewers can say whatever they want and providers are pretty much stuck with it. From other posts I've read, it's nearly impossible to correct or remove incorrect information--especially reviews. I know of one provider who had a very positive review, but it stated that she performed services well beyond what she advertised (and quite unsafe). I don't know whether the review was true or not, but she received so many requests for these "upgraded" services that she ended up canceling her TER account and is now a DNR provider.

You're fortunate to have many great reviews that should offset the bad one. I hope this doesn't discourage you too much.

I frequent another board where they allow providers to respond. This at least gives the provider a chance to set the record straight. Because it's a reaction to a negative statement the provider rarely comes off sounding positive, but at least its something.

There is a provider only boards for this but it may be national and not just local. I know the reviewer only board is national so leaning anything about MN is not going to happen. A girl I saw a few years ago claimed there is a MN provider only board on here where girls talk crap about us but I think it is more nationwide than local.
But there are other sites out there where girls gossip about us.

between men and women would mean the end of civilization as we know it and require rewriting all forms of social intercourse.
Civilized people would not require this activity to be divided into hobbyist sites and provider sites.

So we don't have people like you illogically running their mouths. The smart ones already has this figured out; instead of yapping off , they're busy innovating ways to create a positive experience and prevent the bad ones from occuring again. Not for just for the customer's sake but their own livelihood.

I believe that if a provider focuses on providing a great experience for her clients, the reputation she develops will speak for her.  The occasional bad review won't really matter.  I'm sorry about what to the provider to whom you referred but she's far from the only one whose dealt with reviews claiming she offered services she doesn't offer.  I don't want to sound like I'm making light of it either; I know it sucks.  And I know I'll never really understand how much it sucks because I'll never have an experience like that.  It's a tough business.  But I've seen a lot of providers come, be successful, and eventually move on.

These subjects that have come up lately actually have been going on for many years…way before TER opened a MN board. I have no answer if there is a neutral ground or if there is. I think that most of the “escort boards” that have been created are generally the same format (like others send before me)…for the clients.

Here is an example from the past: I was friends with another hobbyist and he saw a provider that I was close too. Now, he said that she performed something on a menu and stuck by this for years that it happened. The provider in question did not read any of her reviews, so I asked her about that date and told her what he had down in it. She said right away “that I don’t do that, because if I did, I would with you”

Now if any other guys read this in a review, does that guy expect that on the menu? I do not blame either one, since I was close to both of them.

There was a guy here on the MN board last month or so who complained about getting robbed. I read through his reviews, to confirm my suspicion that he was going for cheap BP girls. I also found that he had a pattern of claiming that he barebacked most of the providers that he saw, and most of those providers seemed to have quit the business not long after his appointment, judging by their reviews. I don't blame Audrey or any other provider for challenging that kind of review.

I agree with vorlon 100%.
If a provider gives a great experience, then the stellar reviews will speak for the provider and the negative reviews will be far and few between, so don't let the bad reviews bother you. Keep on giving a great experience and things will improve.

Absolutely that type of review should be challenged.  A provider has the right to challenge any review she wants.  But we've also seen situations where providers challenged any review that wasn't up to what the provider thought she should be getting, typically like a 9/9 or higher.  That sort of thing can get out of hand quickly.  The occasional mediocre review isn't going to damage the reputation of a well-established, well-regarded provider.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if the ratio of paying hobbyists to providers that are paying members is at least 100:1. Probably more...

Its whether or not not they want to use  it anoymously or not. That is the only difference  with going to TER directly  or using the board  if only real option. And we all know the answer to that.

Hey Admim you got anything to say directly  to this issue ? We know your headphones and microphones  are on.    If it gets past the Mods that is.

Which I am sure you are well aware of that Mantra. Well it works against both sides  of fence . Fucked up as it may be.

You want to use their reviews and ratings to build your brand. So they now control the flow of information.  But you have  an option maybe not good  for your business but it's out there . One easy step may solve your problem.  " D"epends how "L"ong you want to fight them and risk you are willing to take.

He started The Erotic Review in because he wanted to empower the customers of prostitutes.

"I was getting ripped off," he said. "There was no way to hold people accountable for their actions."
