This is a malware spam that is primarily aimed at Apple Android devices including mobiles and desktops.  It appears to be preferentially targeted at persons who may be on viagra mailing lists in that many of the messages appear to offer discounts.  That is why it is relevant to this board.
I did not get victimized but according to reliable reports, potential victims receive a message WhatsAppReminder you have a new message.  Anyone who clicks through gets a common and an invitation to click Play (the message).  At that point a costly scam begins.  

Rather than put a link to information about the spam/scam, simply google WhatsAppReminder for more information from reliable publications.
