Something like this once happened to me but in reverse - the provider went to the wrong hotel. Good thing noone was in the room she knocked on. Some cities and suburbs have two hotels with the same name. Bloomington has two each of some hotels - Hilton, LaQuinta, etc. I would bet given the repeated attempts that is what happened.
So recently I contacted a provider to set up an appointment. She had only one review at the time and it wasn't necessarily a great one but it did indicate that she was real. We were able to set up a time to meet..but when she gave me the room number and told me to come up..nobody answered the door. I confirmed with her that I was at the right place and she said to try knocking again. I did..once again..no answer.
Finally she tries calling me and I answer only to hear nothing on the other end (silence). She texts me saying she's tried calling me and then calls me again and still dead silence on the other end. I get another text saying she's checked outside her door for me and saw nobody. At this point it was starting to feel like a joke so I was going to leave. She calls again twice (still no sound coming from her phone) and texts me asking if I'm sure if I'm at the right place. I confirmed again that I was at the place she told me to go to and decided to knock on her door one more time..still no answer.
Decided I was fed up with the bullshit and texted her that I was leaving and thanked her for wasting my time. I never got a reply from her after that.
So I'm wondering..why the hell would a provider do this? Was it some kind of prank? I was very confused heading home that night. Anyone ever had some bull crap like this happen to them?
I will provide more info on the girl if I feel it is really needed but I don't want to start any drama right now. I would just like some opinions about this from people with more experience.
I doubt it was a prank by her, but maybe she gave the wrong hotel room# so she could check you out beforehand, and missed you when you showed up. If there was dead silence over her phone, she's obviously not on top of her game.
Or her phone had a bad signal or her handset is messed up ? One can't help that sometimes.
Mine doesn't always ring or when I answer I can't hear them and they can't hear me because of that.
She wasn't pranking you I think. It could of been she gave you the wrong room and was probably thinking you did the same thing.
That's very possible. I had a similair issue w/ a client before. Some hotels have the funkiest reception. I wonder if he ever got her texts. Sprint I know is terrible for that...I know some on it who get their texts like 2 hrs later.

Yeah, the only reason I screw up appointments either because my phone gets zero signal so i think they ncns or my schedulers screwed it up
The girl I have tells them the wrong time so I'm not there. She's since been dismissed.
The Guy I have doesn't ask me first so Idk they wanted an appointment by the time he does finally get around to telling me, too late I already scheduled someone else
but I always try to at least apologize if that happens

If would at least try to follow up and see what happened.
You should post her name so others do not get the same treatment and also for her to answer to if she feels your claim is wrong.
I am not sure exactly what happened, but I know I have had people call me, and I to call them and my Bluetooth stopped working. So there was complete silence. As far as the knocking at the door, and not answering that is a mystery. Was this location already given to you or a part of the two call system?
Somehow you ended up at a different hotel than the one she was at despite what she said. If not that then I guess she was yanking your chain for some reason.
With chain hotels it's easy to get them mixed up.
I do think you were persistent enough. I would have just leave, If I had no response to my knocking. I would not want to attract attention in the hotel hallway, knocking and phoning her.

I've had that happen, I was at the wrong wing of a multi-building hotel and had that same deal happen.
We were able to talk on the phone and figure out my wrong turn. That's why I like land marks for directions as assurance that I'm in the right place. The phone problems could be attributed to many things.
The lady first gave me the wrong room number. It was even on the wrong floor and she insisted that she was there and waiting. Once that got resolved, I knocked at the door and she did not answer. This went on for some time before I took the elevator down to the lobby to leave and then she text me telling me that I was looking for the wrong girl.....wtf? Finally she revealed that she was answering the phone for person I came to see because something had come up and she had appointments scheduled. She was supposed to let them know that the provider in question would reschedule later but instead she was claiming to be her and had me come downtown to an upscale hotel. She then offered to see me- same donation and menu. I asked her to text me a pic, which she eventually did and I decided to pass. She wasn't ugly and had some attractive features but I was there to see someone that I was really looking forward to meeting, so I declined. She didn't answer the door because she was not the provider I was there to see and was afraid after luring me downtown under the guise of being that provider that I would be upset. I eventually saw the provider in question the next day and she barely even apologized for the whole incident. Always consider the fact that we are so often dealing with ladies that are 19 or 20 and just aren't going to display the maturity we desire or expect. I don't get mad and feel like it is just part of the landscape we deal with. When I find a reliable young provider, I try to hang on to her for a while. I'm very sorry for your situation, it can cause a lot of stress in the moment, I know.
A mystery indeed... but what I really want to know is how someone scores a job as a scheduler, and what the fringe benefits for said positions are ![]()
That's not how it works dear :p
Otherwise they'd be called something else, not a scheduler.
