last minute cancellation

of an appointment with someone I've really been looking forward to seeing leads to
3 hours of calling the list
and browsing the ads
and two almosts that dissolved like... dreams... AlkaSeltzer... ice cream on a State Fair afternoon (can't wait)

and now ... I'll just have to settle for a Macallan and a movie.

(I must be an addict.  There has got to be a less time-consuming way of hooking up.  I will find it.)
