Do we really need insults?
The current system.
1. I was really scared.
2. Ugly
3. Homely
4. OK if you are drunk.
5. Plain
6. Nice
7. Attractive
8. Really hot
9. Model Material
10. One in a life time.

An alternative, (I do not know what to invent for 2, just know that current 1, 2, 3, 4 are simply insults and booze has nothing to do with it.)

1. Worried for her.
2.
3. Her selling points are elsewhere.
4. Not my type.
5. Next door neighbor
6. Nice
7. Attractive
8. Really hot
9. Model Material
10. One in a life time

2- Can't say she'd turn my head at the Market.

And yes I agree there is much more polite & less hurtful ways to rate appearance.

...you have only a 3 or 4 point system at best. Since, if you did your research, you should never meet anyone below about a 7.   We should just name the first 6 things like this:

1. I don't read reviews
2. I thought maybe that Czech model might really be in town
3. I liked seeing the pimp in the mirror.
4. I like to seek out bad experiences and then bitch about it.
5. How do you do that image searchy thing
6. She said: "it's me or it's free!

2-7 and others who rate 7-9
etc

I guess its who they see and whether are capable of seeing beauty.

Some rank 1.5 above the mean others rank 1.5 below.  Others are within a half point.

This variability is another reason for taking out simply cruel rating categories

I did my research, read the reviews, and wasn't disappointed at all in the lady's appearance or performance.  In fact I've had some great sensual massages from providers I'd say were Average or Nice looking.

What irks me on the Appearance scoring scheme is how some reviewers can be downright cruel... or brainless. For example, they rave about the provider's looks and then give her a 5. Or worse, they give a score of 4 or less to a provider who never gets below 6 and routinely gets 7s and above. I've met some of these providers and know that there's no way anyone who's being fair could say that she's "OK if you're drunk".

We simplify the appearance rating scale to a mere 3 point scale:

1.  She bought/sold/bartered her previous reviews
2.  Real deal
3.  For fucks sake you need to see her for her menu and not looks alone

Is it just me or is "Athletic" a totally subjective and basically useless term to describe body type?

"Athletic" plus photos and reviews can be useful. But keep in mind all opinions about someone's appearance are subjective. That's why you see for example providers with appearance scores ranging from 4 to 10.  Don't go only by the numbers, or labels from drop-down lists.

To me, if I hear the word "athletic", I'm always thinking someone in very good shape, i.e., an athlete. However, I've learned through hobbying in MN that many bigger Midwestern ladies here are also athletic...just not my type of athletic.

When reviewers started listing obvious BBW's as "athleltic" is exactly when I decided that reviews scores are somewhat useless, I stopped caring about them .
Not at all saying being BBW is bad or can't be healthy but I wouldn't even try to call myself "athletic" body type even though I've been in crossfit training and cycling most of my life and qualify as such according to my lifestyle.
Maybe they aren't talking about body shape at all lol but what their body can do .

You make up "problems" so you can solve them.  You set a dividing line to try to bring out opinions so you can eventually solve all hobby problems don't you?  You cause the debate to devolve into what you envisioned.

That's not discussion BM.  That's case in point manipulation for which you are known for.

As I don't give a rats ass about you anymore I am free to give my opinion...

I don't care about the un-PC wording of the rating scale.  It's been the same rating scale for all eternity since I have been on this board which is probably as long as you and you and you, believe it or not.  It is what it is.  You BM of all people have the power to change things on TER so do it behind the scenes if you truly cared.

Regarding reviews, ratings, and such...

There is both deflation and inflation of scores as we all know.  I think that strategy is more targeted than we all give credit.  Let's be honest here.  I agree with another response on this thread that you can find a genuinely great time with a provider that has lower appearance scores as well as a shit time with a top 5 MN provider.  I think the honest review is a lost art and both client and provider are worse off for it.

The tired old stratification of providers is still around.  It's a plan to both promote the in crowd and denigrate the out crowd.  Then there's bat shit crazy so the waters become muddy.

Hobby as you feel fit is my ultimate opinion.  Take a gamble on a BP provider or take a gamble on a reviewed TER provider.  Sometimes there is no difference these days.  With the state of affairs today you need to question ad posts, reviews, board posts, everything...

you responded publicly as you and the Lion from the Wiz of Oz share common DNA.  What exactly is your point with this post?  I'm up for debate BM, in fact I'm here all night.  I suspect you will not respond as debate isn't your thing but hey maybe you are having an off day.  Let's chat player.  :)  Or will you pull this post as I expect you to?

Because even though you deleted a post of yours already on this thread I know enough to ALWAYS link to your thread so you have to pull your own thoughts as well as my free thinking thoughts...such a LION

We all have our good qualities and we all have our own look.  To rate and compare to
other ladies is insulting and disgusting.  However, I do realize it is an important and
useful part of the hobby.

why do you get so butt hurt when someone calls you out?  You are so eloquent when you post but you can't summon up a reasonable response when someone challenges your opinion.  You are mature enough to stop with your games of getting posts removed are you not sir?

I mean, it's all subjective anyway, so why make it into some stupid comment... Like it's the first time someone has been introduced to the 1-10 scale

Manipulated reviews...manipulated discussions...let's go back to newspaper ads and calling in to a scheduler.  I miss those days.  Talk about subjective...some of those male schedulers I used to call gave me stats and I booked and well she ended up being Latina when I was expecting a blue eyed blonde...it was what it was and it was still tons of fun.  I think the internet brought out the great idea of community but all good ideas go to shit with the wrong intention before being righted.  I for one am sure I could hobby on all I want less TER but dammit the internet is immediate and well that's the speed these days.  I say we all respond to your post with a 1-10 rating of how useful we feel this site is and get the discussion going.  I'll be first...5.  Trinity your thought?  Others?

If we simplify everything, we all should be here for sex - either procuring it or providing it.

TER let's us research and search (reviews) and discuss (forums) and share info (PM).

I like the search/research side of TER even though I don't find girls through searching but rather by reading reviews and contacting reviewers, etc. I give this area a 6-7, sometimes even an 8.

Re the forum/discussion side, it's definitely not as informative or as fun as a couple years ago and I'd put this at a 3-4, maybe a 5.

Room for improvement? Hell yes!
Ready to move on? Not yet...

And it should apply to both scales; the descriptions just muddy the waters.
