... in Las Vegas and hope & pray for those killed, injured and affected, and hope no one from this community--residents or visitors--were involved, one of my thoughts is that events like this make so many other things seem very unimportant.

A common, positive reaction to senseless violence is for others to treat each other better, at least for a little while.  It would be great if that would happen in this case.

I have many friends who reside in and around Las Vegas.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of them and hope all are safe.
