Wow, I personally don't agree with the guy that was a client and then called the police and told them about the members only message board.  Couldn't he have handle it another way instead of calling the police, and giving them access to our boards.  If the girl was being exploited, couldn't she have quit, or had us get a boycott going against the MN girls club, for the abuse that was going on there.  I don't know, just thinking out loud.

Why did it take so long for them to file papers?

This article states that a client snitched - I had heard that it was an ex-provider.

At least the paper didn't publish the names of the 2 guys who got nabbed and were stupid enough to spill their guts.

Anyone care to guess what happens next?

In my opinion...

The reason this just recently hit the St Paul paper is because it is only recently (the article states this week), that anything was filed in Ramsey County.

Previously, the investigation involved Hennepin County and ended with no charges filed. (Notice the Star Trib did not find it newsworthy) The Henn. Cty guys must have turned over what they had to Ramsey and now Ramsey is investigating.

I met the client who snitched.  He is a complete moron who was trying to get revenge after he was 86'd for harrassing an escort.  I notice they didn't include *his* real name!

I personally thing that this is basically just your normal, everyday LE 'doing their job.'  They have to try to 'protect the community' (at the demand of taxpayers) so they sting and raid and try to get convictions where they can.

It's nothing new or unusual in this bidness unfortunately.  What makes it newsworthy is the 'internet' aspect of it.

Basically things are no better or worse than they always were.  Be careful always!

The Star Tribune did run the same article.  It was an AP story that both papers ran.

I meant there was no mention when the raid occurred.

Well, yeah-- I don't think anyone who is on this board (or The Other Board) agrees with the way it was handled, but what's done is done.
As for LE having access to our boards, you can bet that they have had access to the public areas of these boards for a while now, that's why it's *always* a good idea to keep the discussion of happenings to a level that doesn't get anyone in trouble.

Not only the public, but private as well.  I'm not sure any forum is really safe from prying eyes, including small local boards and sometimes email.

I think it's good policy to NEVER put anything too specific on any forum, board, email, etc.  Once it's out there you can NEVER take it back and just because it's safe to email someone today you never know who might have access to their account in the future.

Does anyone know why charges were filed in Ramsey instead of Hennepin?  Any status updates?  Erica doing OK?

I am doing very well, thank you for asking. I hope all of you are doing well too. Charges have NOT been filed in any county. What Le filed was search warrants. Since they cant use anything else they made one last desperate attempt to find the drugs, kiddy porn, and the run-away minors tied up in the back rooms somewhere. You know, the typical stuff all us agency owners have.

Le is not concerned with the girls or the guys, there's no evidence and as far as I know no one has committed any crimes. The internet is still the safest place to be. Even the two knum-nuts that were coheres into incriminating themselves cant be charged without the girls supposedly involved corroborating their stories.

In short allow me to translate...

(its an on going investigation) meaning,, We don't have anything.

Richfield has already submitted what they had over a month ago expecting charges, But without a crime being committed prosecutors denied to get involved. Even the surveillance these DWI cops performed for a year showed no illegal activity. No Joe, the homeless look while sitting in a late model beige Crown Vic doesn't work well in Mpls.

The other funny thing is the news media never checked with the sectary of state's office to see who really owns MGC "smile". They also confused Bigdoggies web site with ours.

The truth is we did everything right. The only problem we couldn't control was an angry and possessive client giving false information to LE after we were forced to ban him once one of the girls didn't feel safe seeing him anymore.

I still support this hobby and everyone in it. It is our human right. If any member of TER Independent, Agency, or Client needs any advice please feel free to e-mail me.

Thanks MGC for a solid response to such a confusing and concerning issue. I have always thought that MGC was a top shelf agency that provided one of the best and most reliable services in the metro.  Great to hear that you are doing well, Erika. Missed hearing your voice on the phone.

Thanks for the update.  Good to see your nic and hear that you're doing well!  Too bad there are so many jerks in the world.  It really makes it difficult for the rest of us.

Take care,
