I love longer, natural nails. Something about a great gel coat in the right color just looks fabulous. I like the longer nails run through the hair on the back of my head. It is so sensual. We have a lot of non-providers that go for the talons and designs ($100+) and really cannot afford this type of "luxury". Somebody must think it looks good. ??
That's one thing I never understood about my fellow ladies . Long dragon lady talons, how do they get anything done with nails like that ? I'd go crazy ! Not to mention how much gunk and fungus forms underneath, all those arcylic and gel products destroy natural nails at that. I'm lucky mine grow strong and are naturally pretty. That's part of the reason I went to school for cosmetology. Most guys I know like natural & well manicured nails as opposed to artificial ones and they also like classic shapes rather than the extreme square or squoval shape ladies of the upper midwest favor so much.

Like them manicured and polished but no artificial ones(Can't stand the ones that extend a 1/2 inch or more beyond the fingers).
I used to wear long nails (never more than a half inch) when I was escorting. but, now that I do bodyrubs, I feel I need to keep my nails very short, very clean! cleanliness is a MUST!!!

I agree that the EXTRA long with all the art are unattractive. I could never get anything done with long fingernails and like my standard French nails at a short length. I don't even want to imagine what must exist underneath those long talons...eew.
