I know it's a long ways away, 1 year to be exact, but I do have an extra ticket for the U2 concert.  If interested PM me.  I will explain why I'm posting this this early.

The journey he and the band went through to discover themselves and what they wanted their music to say...speaks volumes as to the kind of man Bono is.  To be able to be socially and politically relevant through the years and still grow as musicians and maintain a fan base while doing that is phenomenol!  His music is always current, passionate, emotional, empathetic and beautiful!

Whoever is the lucky gal, I sincerely hope she and you cherish and enjoy this very special evening.

Here they are with Springsteen...another of our great musical legends.  This is my all time favorite YouTube clip and I listen to it when I need some inspiration.  Enjoy, my friends.

Hugs, Belinda

Just my two cents but I think he sounds like a eunuch with a case of strep throat. His pretentious sensitive pretty boy posturing gives my nipples a rash as well.

Give me an honestly outraged aging punk like Henry Rollins any day. I will take Henrys' raging screams any day over an emo poser that I am pretty sure that creepy Edward from the Twilight movies must have been based on.

All personal musical opinion aside, it is generous of you to put up the ticket. Good karma to you kind sir.

U2 is one of the greatest rock bands in the world.

...totally agree. And Bono's selfless work with Western world leaders to relieve impoverished 3rd World nations of some of their crushing debt to wealthy nations made him more worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize than others who have recently won it.

'Relax....it's only rock 'n roll!'

Could not agree more.  Nothing they have done in the past decade has been relevant.  REM went out on top and U2 should have did the same.  They are as big a joke as the Stones right now....

That they are only a joke to those who don't like them while those who do enjoy them greatly.

The more successful you are, the larger the cult of haters grows. It actually becomes popular to hate them - Stones, Nickelback, Aerosmith - all examples of this. Yet the MILLIONS of people who buy albums/concert tickets/merchandise obviously disagree.

For the amount of $$$ Bono makes, I would gladly be just as big of a pretentious douche as he is, hate me all ya want!

The weird thing is, I like the music and have a lot of their catalog on my ipod, however when I REALLY listen to Bono sing it is not a very pretty voice. (at least to my ears). The overall effect of their songs are decent and agreeable to my ears.

I can also agree, that being a mega multimillionare would most likely make me even more pretentious and douchey as well.

I don't hate them, just find their doogooder supiourity (yeah I know it's spelled wrong, I'm lazy, don't give a s@&%. Bash away.)act to be rather irritating. For all the admitted good things they have done, it is just a schtick and it comes off as a poser act due to their perceived importance. It is especially telling in the Edge. For gods sake man, use you given name. It would not surprise me if his platinum AmEx card actually says "Edge". But hey, nobody does fund raising better, regardless of the delivery.

When I reach that level of stardom my credit cards will all say "Pretentious Douche" and I will use them proudly.

give me blues & jazz anytime

He completely ruined Black Flag and butchered Keith Morris' songs when he tried to sing them. I read one of H.R.'s books and the guy could stand to learn basic punctuation and grammar.

just asking if anyone was interested in a ticket to U2.  BTW, not on the field, but otherwise premo seats.  27 rows up, just right of the front of the stage.  Also, this is for ANYONE, woman or man.
