I remember back before mngirlsclub got taken down bigdoggie was a very useful sight for local minnesota info. There was a bunch of selective moderating by bigdoggie right at that time that drove alot of people over here. that was my first experence with how the views and beliefs of the mod affect the quality and usefulness of the posts. I also think that when various folks are composing their posts alot of what they would like to say is left out in fear of not being posted anyway. TCG seems to me to have plenty of experence in the hobby, plenty of free time at the computer, and openminded enough to let through the things we want to know.
P.S. Mabe he just needs his own website - I'd by a VIP pass to that!
I agree that he doesn't need to be moderated. His posts may range from the unintelligible to farsical lunacy and every once in a while there is something actually useful. So just ignore him. Whats the big fugging deal. At the same time its also ok for someone to tell him to shut the f--- up.
Now this guy does provide a very valuable service on this board. We shouldn't jump his ass for all his uncountable posts. Rather , we should celebrate the likes of him, and his compadre, MDL. Face it, us regular guys, maybe have a bad day at work, get bitched at by the wife and/or girlfriend, kids being troublesome, and we feel kind of low. Real low, like we couldn't get any lower. Our self esteem is waaay down. So maybe once a week when she is out shopping, maybe we sneak a peek at the board. Then we see them, the multiple posts by these two fine gentlemen, one by providing endless responses to his own posts, and the other by desperately trying to seek board dominance as the "big dog" by his daily shilling of the high priced travelers he has paid for. We read these fine accounts of the men of all men, and we soon realize, these poor souls entire social life centers on this board. We think to our selfselves, "the poor bastard. I do hope one day, he'll meet a girl and maybe get laid. Move out the parents basement, even get married!"
Suddenly, I feel better about myself. I have a life and it ain't all that bad! Things are actually kind of nice.
So to the TwinCitiesGuy, and MDL, I salute YOU! You've made me feel good!
Well J Ashcroft, obviously you don't have the Balls to stand up to your own posts and feel the need to hid like a coward behing an alias when you post your slamming crap on this board.
If it makes you feel better and a Bigger ( more dominate dog) by puting others down, well continue on....
I personally do not have any issues with TCG's posts. Everyone has their own style of how that they like to do things. We have your number pegged..."chicken who hides behind Alias" If you don't like TCG's or my posts...then Don't read them.
As far as my self esteem, no issues there along with my social life. This hobby is far from the "center" of my life. Could you further explain your theory of my wanting to "desperately trying to seek board dominance as the "big dog"? what in your mind substantiates "board dominance" Maybe it is the many minions that are at my beck and call willing to do my bidding....yea right. I find it very hard that anyone person could dominate a board of this magnitude.
