I recently sent an introductory email to a provider I have been keen to see.  My message was polite, and wasn't explicit, and yet, she has yet to reply.  I think I have a pretty decent 'hobby rep', as I'm always polite, on time, never short the lady, etc etc etc.

I'm not sure if this is an isolated instance, or if this is more common.  Hence, this post.

What percentage of the time are your emails to providers ignored?

This actually just happened to me. I'm not the most experienced guy here, however I would say as a whole this is VERY rare. Just remember that these ladies while they are successful as providers, they also have lives and families. Sometimes life happens, and sometime things get lost in the tech world. So if you would really like to see this lady, give it a few days, then maybe follow up with another e-mail just to ensure she received your first one.

Too long. I don't need your life story just like you don't need mine.
One liners like "r u available " and the like.
Explicit content such as requesting me to reenact some porno I could never do or something I don't offer.
Since I know you & how polite you are,
I'd say they're probably either not available or too busy. Try again maybe you could of ended up in spam?
Hope that helps. Xo V

There are always standard reasons like spam filters, accidental selections, misfiling, etc. Haven't had a non-response yet but if I did I would try 1-2 more times before re-checking my emails to see whether I indicated I ate four cloves of garlic the day before the requested appointment.

From your description and your experience, I'm sure you didn't do anything wrong. You were polite, (we THANK YOU for that!) there were no descriptive no-no's, etc. but you do say "recently" so we do not know how much time has passed since your inquiry to her. Yes, you could have ended up in spam- it doesn't happen often to me but it is possible. IMO I'd sure rather receive an email that is too long than one consisting of 2 brief sentences (unless you're an established friend checking availability) An email that is lengthy (again, IMO) should by no means be grounds for ignoring so long as it isn't explicit or creepy. I am a woman who greatly appreciates an email that is introductory in addition to including the information that I must have.

I use hushmail, and the only downfall so far are delays. I've learned this the hard way, but I will continue to use it. Delays are another possibility. Yes, we are busy with many things in our lives just like everyone. At times I take what I call "email vacations" and I do the same with my cell phone- sometimes life just calls for a break, or is too busy to check play email. I don't use an auto-reply, since I positively am NOT a fan of receiving them. Although when the time comes for travel or times when I know I'll be unavailable for more than a couple (2) days, I will put an auto-reply in place.

It's likely that the lady is simply busy with other things. If its only been a brief time, perhaps you can send her another note soon and ask if she received your first. My thoughts are that it will show interest and she will not see it as being pestered. If she has a calendar or updated text on her site, maybe you missed something. By this I mean days she is unavailable, traveling, or an indication of how long it typically takes her to reply.

Good luck to you!

Peace,

Astrid

Assuming that you're not a creepy, asshole and so all the obvious reasons for throwing your missive into the bit=bucket don't apply ...

Dare I say it, but there is a high variance in the level of "business professionalism" in the provider community. While it could be, as others have alluded, a mere matter of being tied up with the exigencies of life, it could also be that she/he just simply didn't feel like responding for whatever reason happened to occur to him/her at the moment.

Give the provider a reasonable amount of time to respond. If there is still silence, then my recommendation (which is offered for free and worth twice as much) is to __move on__. You simply don't need to deal with someone who doesn't have the business acumen to respond to a (presumably) reasonable inquiry in a reasonable amount of time.

There are many, many really professional providers out there. Many advert upon the TER boards in one form or another. Listen to the chatter for a little while and I suspect that you'll easily identify a  gem or three or more that will suit your fancy.

Best of luck

All these emails I've sent asking about candles, nuru gel, swings and mimes providing narration, that have gone unanswered.  Skip the candles part next time?

Some escorts don't check email frequently or may be occupied with other matters for a while and not checking email.

Say derp, How would a mime narrate?  They don't speak haha!
I also ignore people that are skeptic & accusatory before they've even met me like all curious about what oil I use etc so,  I say I don't use oil. I dilute my gel with imported Yak tears from Tibet.
Here's to hoping the OP gets a response. Xo V.

I also believe I know HOW to write an introductory email.  The percentage of mail not responded to is strangely hi to me.  Especially with ladies that say "email only".  Meaning if you say email only those, proper emails, should be answered nearly 100% of the time imho.

Established, well-reviewed providers ususally respond.  If you were sending an email to a fly-by-night or someone who drifts in and out, she might just have been "out."

If a lady is out of town or with family (even though she doesn't advertise it) she may not be checking her email. We don't always give hobbyists our schedule to a T, some things are ok to keep private (ie family vacations, etc.) A follow up email would be helpful in this case so she doesn't "forget" about you on accident.

If it ended up in spam then its like a needle in a haystack. Try sending a message through a different contact method and see if you get a response.

If you contact saying "Can I see you Friday?" With an email like [email protected], I may take the time to explain my screening process and request your references or I could send you to view my site. If I am having a bad day, I might move on and respond later when I can access a keyboard and not my phone. This is not a great way to start out (always send references!)

If the lady doesn't reply after 2 emails I'd say move the ____ on. :) So many other lovely ladies to choose from!

I try to answer all my emails within 24 hrs but sometimes it isn't possible.

I've had a few recently also. Very reputable women and a couple I have seen before. Some replied and apologized and I'm waiting on one as we speak (appoint request and a follow up).
I don't recall any lapses during the winter months. Is it the change in the weather?

... I primarily see ladies who have a P411 profile and have TER reviews. After I send the P411 appointment request, I send them a PM on TER and ask them to look for the P411 email, just in case it may have ended up in their spam folder. I normally get pretty prompt service from P411 ladies but there have been a few missteps. Since I've started doing this I've been getting responses to my requests within hours if not minutes.

and found FOUR emails from clients in there.  FOUR!    wow.

I try to remember to check the Junk folder once a week or so, and rarely find any client emails, one at the most generally.

but there have been a few times that I "think" I have done this.........LOL
Anyone else want to admit to doing this???    c'mon now, I KNOW I'm not the Only one!!!

:-D  LOL PORTIA! I love that picture! I've been guilty of that as well! :-D

I've been doing my best lately to respond to my emails within a few hours. (Weekends can be a bit tough sometimes but always try to respond with something - even if it's shorthand from my phone.)

It's possible she didn't get.

Personally, I have it happen to me a few times where I've received an email that was dated from 2 weeks ago but just showed up in my inbox. :-(
I also occasionally get messages sent to my Spam folder, which I try to check, weekly.

My suggestion, re-send the message with a different subject title. :-D

GOOD LUCK!

XOXO,
Whitney

A good reminder that email/text/etc. are **"asynchronous"** communication channels ... in layman's-speak that means that it could be (quite) a while between when someone sends you a message and when you receive it. While a week is unusual these days, it isn't unheard of.  The USPS is an "asynchronous" channel ... it has been known to take decades to deliver a message .. but most messages eventually *are* delivered.

So (as with most things in life (perhaps all)) be patient -- within reason
