All that we have seen is a lot of pompous chatter and trash talking. This reminds me of the last time we went through this. Is there a statute of limitations when rumor mongers are expected to apologize and move on or, to borrow a phrase, does, "Hating mean you never have to say that you are sorry?" If so, I would like to know what it is, so that we can move on without wrecking more people.

Yes, it would be great to move on without the hate, and without outing and wrecking more people.
Let's be specific and safe and avoid speculation where we can. The odds of:
1) LE reading the board -- 100% 2) Obtaining an ID and password through an investigation -- less than 20?% 3) Posting as a provider 5?% 4) Obtaining an ID and password through an investigation and using it to impersonate a provider (or hobbyist) who has an established history of posting -- less than 2?% 5) Joining TER and getting VIP. Well we'd all like to think that would never happen. But we know better. So you see posting history and reputation are important on this board, more than VIP privileges or anything else. And you, as far as anyone can tell at the moment, look bright and shiny and new. 100

Changed email and contacted new email posted... asked for some info to be verified. Supplied what I felt was ok. Scheduled meeting and got to location and girl at door was no one I knew. I said oops wrong address I'm sorry and walked. Did not see any LE but I would not trust any of them at all.
I see that kind of thing all the time in reviews, where the woman who answers the door isn't the provider the guy scheduled with because they use the same location.
If that's enough to make you abort a session and mistrust several providers, you might want to rethink whether this hobby is for you.
And I am going to protects both clients and providers for as long as I am able. As that is what I have always done. That is also what I will always do.
I cannot control rumormongering.

the simple truth is it will come down to clients and reputable providers refusing to deal with organized trafficers or everyone just forgets and moves on. Nobody's public opinion will change and I'm tired of replying to PM's.
